Today is the day of candies, costumes, scary movies, jack-o'-lanterns, tricks and treats. Yes, it's Halloween. Not really one of the holidays I like, but let's see if it'll change once I spend it with my brothers.
After waking up, I went downstairs trying to avoid traps if there's any. I found Riley on his phone and Connor watching something in the television.
"Good morning." I greeted. "Aren't you forgetting something today?"
"I'm pretty sure it's not your birthday." Riley replied.
"Not so sure if you are my twin either."
"Too early for arguments. What's up, Hale?" Connor commented.
"It's Halloween. Don't you have any better plans today?"
My brothers looked at each other then back to me.
"Unfortunately, I'm not afraid of spiders." I said pertaining to the fact that somebody put a fake spider on top of my phone. I admit it did startled me. "Was that the only thing you have in mind?"
"Of course not. We have a surprise for the last one to wake up." Riley answered.
"Let's go to our baby brother's room." Connor added.
Connor's in charge in making Toby's room scary and writing some things. I got to play tricks on his phone, while Riley will hide under his bed. You may think it's lame, but just wait for what's going to happen.
Toby's Point of View
I woke up not too early unmindful of what day it is today. I just know we have no classes. It's kind of dark in my room. Is it still evening? Or did I just overslept? I reached for my phone and got a little heart attack when I found out it's not where I last put it. I reached out again and got a paper instead.
Why would there be a paper?
I unfolded it and read what's written.
I'm watching you.
Watching me? Who is? I got up my bed and searched for my phone. When I found it, there was a paper on it now saying "I see you." A prank from my siblings, I see.
I removed the piece of paper and opened my phone. I almost dropped it when I saw a photo of a clown as my wallpaper. How? No one knows my password. As I was fixing it, I suddenly received a message. It was from an unknown number saying "I was there." Attached to it was my picture while sleeping. And then I dropped my phone.
Why? A very cold hand underneath my bed grabbed my foot.
Then, laughter filled my room.
I just got pranked.
"Happy Halloween, bro." Riley said while laughing after getting out under my bed.
"That's what I get for oversleeping?" I asked sarcastically.
"And some pancakes." Haley added. "So let's go eat I'm hungry."
To prepare for Halloween, we went to buy some supplies to decorate our house and also some candies. We also looked for what to wear as our costumes. I went with being Mr. Smee, Connor as Peter Pan, Riley as Captain Hook, and Haley as Tinker Bell.
After giving out candies to the trick-or-treaters, we had a horror movie marathon.
And there's also a very special thing waiting for a very special someone.
"I'll just get my charger in my room. I'll be right back." Riley said.
"Be sure to be right back." Connor joked.
