Another morning, another wonderful day ahead of me. At least, we don't have classes today. Guess what, tomorrow, I'll be turning 18! Tomorrow's going to be my birthday!
"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty!" Jaden greeted.
"What's good in the morning?" I snapped.
"Seeing your beloved brother's handsome face." He replied
"No, seeing your hideous face makes my day worse." I opposed
"Such a rude lass." He said.
"Such a boastful lad." I replied imitating Jaden's tone.
"No bacon for you!" he yelled.
"I'm just kidding! I love you, big bro."
We both laughed and proceeded to the dining room.
Mom has to go to work early that's why Jaden was the one who cooked for us. If we have classes or we don't want to cook, our cook or butler would be the one who'll take care of it.
"Do you have any plans today?" Jaden asked.
"I'll hangout with Charlene. Why?" I answered.
"Does Mom know about it?" he asked again.
"Yeah. Why did you ask?"
"Can I come with you? I want to go out."
"I'll ask Charlene first."
"Don't bother. You know she'll agree. I am her crush after all."
"Fine."
That's true. Charlene has a huge crush on Jaden. He knows about it because it's pretty obvious whenever he's with us and again, he's a famous singer.
"Haley!" Charlene shouted as she approached us.
We're here at the mall, our usual meeting place.
"Hey Charl-" I was interrupted by a fangirling Charlene.
"OMG! Jaden! What are you doing here?!"
"It's boring at home so, here I am." Jaden answered.
"When I become your girlfriend, you'll never be bored at home." She replied and winked seductively.
Can I just say how disgusting it is? Yes, Charlene is my friend but, to be honest, I don't want her to be with Jaden.
"Don't make my brother uncomfortable, Charlene, or else he'll stay away from you." I warned.
"Okay. I'm sorry Jaden, It's just a joke." She apologized. "But jokes are half meant." She added whispering.
"What was that?" Jaden asked pretending he didn't hear what he just heard.
"Never mind! Hale, tomorrow's already gonna be your 18th birthday! Enjoy this day, okay?" She said.
"I totally would. Shall we go?" I told her.
"Let's go!" She replied excitedly.
"Where will we go first?" I asked
"Anywhere Jaden would like to go."
This one of the reasons I don't want him to be with me when I'm with Charlene.
"Um... It's okay wherever you want to go." He answered
"How about, my room?" Charlene suggested.
Here we go again.
"Stop it, Charlene. It's really, really, disgusting." I replied.
