15. Knock Knock

Yeonjun entered his apartment and put his keys aside. He sighed as a loud sound erupted from his stomach.

"when was the last time I ate?"

He made his way to the kitchen and started looking through the cabinets for packed ramen.

He was about to grab a packet when he heard a clearly audible 'clink' from the living room.

That's when he completely paused. He grabbed the nearest kitchen knife and his phone and slowly stepped out of the kitchen.

Yeonjun took slow steps towards the living to see where that sound came from. Suddenly he felt something move behind him in a swift speed, making him turn around in surprise.

Nothing.

He turned around towards the living room again but this time he saw a dark silhouette standing there with slightly red eyes, smiling widely with sharp canines.

"hello yeonjun"

Hearing those two words is all it took yeonjun to run towards his room in full speed. He immediately got in and locked the door before the vampire could even react.

"oh come on pretty boy, let's not make this hard" the vampire said, banging on the door.

Yeonjun completely ignored the voice and frantically dialed the first number he found.

The line rang and rang, his panic rising every second, to yeonjun's dismay no one picked.

He dialed again hoping someone would pick up. He didn't even realise tears rolling down his cheeks due to fear.

"yeonjun it's like three in the-

"s-soobin" yeonjun cried out flinching every time the intruder banged on the door.

"wait are you crying? What's that noise"

"someone snuck in" seconds after yeonjun said that he heard shuffling on the other side of the line but he was too focused on the door handle that kept rattling.

"I'll be there, stay with me on the phone"

Yeonjun unconsciously nodded. He tightened his grip on the knife in his other hand as he sat on the other side of the room, behind the bed, hugging his knees.

"you little shit just fucking come out" yeonjun flinched again at the harsh voice coming from outside the room.

"hey... listen to my voice, forget about everything else... I'll be there before you know it" soobin said panting.

Yeonjun was about to reply when the noises stopped. He turned around to look at the door.

"yeonjun you still there?"

"I think h-he's go-" yeonjun turned around and froze when the saw the vampire right beside him.

In panic yeonjun aimed the kitchen knife at his face and without seeing what happened he got up to run away.

"mother fucker" the vampire grabbed yeonjun's leg before he could get away, making yeonjun fall, the phone slipping out of his hands as he groaned.

He grabbed the knife and hovered over yeonjun. Yeonjun could barely register soobin's voice on the phone saying his name along with a few curses.

"you humans really need to learn your fucking place" he brought the knife closer to yeonjun's face as yeonjun just tightly shut his eyes "now should I ruin that pretty little face of yours"

It wasn't long after he said that, yeonjun felt himself getting separated from the vampire. His first instinct was to back away until his back met the wall.

Yeonjun watched with fear as soobin painfully teared the vampires flesh apart. He had to look away.

He flinched when soobin wrapped his arms around him,making sure the vampire stays out of yeonjun's sight.

"w-what ha-happened to him?"

"Don't worry he's um... dead"

Yeonjun just cried as soobin held him closer. He gripped tightly onto soobin's shirt as he sobbed into his chest.

This is when soobin realized it might be harder now to keep the coven away.
