Chapter 14 Day of the Great Devourer

The ninja back up so they won't be seen.
The Great Devourer then sees Sensei Wu and Pythor and consumes them hole with one bite.
"No!" Y/n yells
"Sensei." Kai says
"No." Jay says
Y/n just stares at the ground. She looks up at the Great Devourer.

'Y/n focus we need to save Ninjago. It is what he would have wanted.'

'Your right. We have to stop it.'

"The Great Devourer then spots the ninja.
"Oh, maybe if we stand perfectly still.." Jay starts
"Run!" Kai yells
"Oh, this is not good." Y/n says as they start running. Jay then trips and falls.
"Wait! Wait for me!" Jay yells as he starts running again.
"Hurry Jay. Run and don't look back." Y/n tells him.

"Fire up the engines." Nya tells Lloyd but he is distracted by the Great Devourer.
"I said fire up the engines." Nya yells
Lloyd then heard her and runs to fire up the engines.
"There's no wind. And we only have reserve fuel." Lloyd tells her
"Use it!" Nya tells him
The ninja then jump into the room. Jay then goes up to the screen.
"Uh, I hate to tell you this, but objects in the Mirror are closer than they appear." Jay states

"Working on it. Blasters on full." Nya tells him
The Bounty then takes off just as the Devourer tries to bite it.
"Woo-hoo! Take that, you stupid snake." Kai cheers
"Are you dumb don't make it mad." Y/n tells him
The Great Devourer then appears infront of the Bounty from underground.
"Uh. I think it heard you."  Jay says nervously

The Great Devourer tried to bite the ship again but Nya dodged it.
"Nya, we got to go faster. That thing is gaining on us." Kai tells her
"We're going as fast as we can." Nya tells him
"Oh, no. That ain't good." Y/n says
"I'll try to make it to Scattered Canyon." Nya tells us
"Probability of making it that far is less than 8 percent." Zane tells her
"Never tell me the odds!" Nya yells

"It's coming in for another attack. Port side." Cole says
The Bounty barely dodges it.
"That was a close one." Y/n says
"We're losing speed. We'll drop to the ground soon." Lloyd says
"Throw everything overboard." Nya orders
"What?" Everyone asks
"We need to lose some weight." Nya explains
"Port side!" Lloyd yells
The Great Devourer bites of a bit of the Boosters.

Everyone then starts throwing things overboard. Y/n then runs to her room.

"Why did I need to go here?" Y/n asks

'Because you need to grab the Dragon Swords and scrolls '

"Your right. The Bounty will definitely not out run that thing." Y/n realizes

'Ya and be quite your aren't talking in your head.'

"Right. Forgot about that." Y/n says

Y/n grabs her swords and other stuff needed and then starts throwing unneeded stuff off the side. She then runs back to the others.
"Man, he sure is hungry." Jay says
"Wait a minute." Y/n realizes
"Does anyone else think the Devourer looks bigger than it did before?" Jay realizes
"My exact thoughts." Y/n says

"The more it consumes, the bigger it gets." Cole realizes
"Don't throw anything else overboard." Cole yells
Just as he says that Kai throws Sensei Wu's teapot overboard.
"Phew. We made it to Scattered Canyon." Nya says relived.
"Hold on!" Nya yells
"Ah, we lost him." Cole says
"Cole you jinxed us." Y/n says
The Great Devourer then jumps from in front of us and stole the Bounty with his tail.

"Abandon ship!" Nya says
The Bounty starts to hit the ground and Jay flies through the window and out to the deck.
"Goodbye, old friend." Zane says as he jumps off the ship and summons his vehicle. The others do the same and Y/n rides with Jay.
Then we all see the Bounty crash. We all then flee the scene.
