"Children, excuse me. Um, as you know, uh, this Sunday is family day here at Auradon Prep. And because your parents can't be here due to, uh, distance, we've arranged for a special treat." Fairy Godmother said.
Jade and Jay shared a confused look. Princess moved up on Jade's shoulder. Fairy Godmother turned on the tv and the VKs parents were shown. "I don't see anything nor do I hear" Maleficent said.
"Come" Fairy Godmother motioned for the children. The Vks stood up and walked closer to the tv. To be honest Jade was scared of the outcome her mother would have seeing her next to Jay.
Jade grabbed Jay's hand who looked at her but Jade kept her eyes on the tv. "Press enter" "Can I please see a remote? Is this thing on? Ugh, It's broken. Ugh! I hate electronic equip- Oh!"
Jade amused they could now see the kids."Evie, It's mommy. Oh! Look how beautiful. Oh, you know what they say, the poison apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Evil Queen stated.
"Don't you mean the weeds?" Cruella asked. "Who's the old bat?" Cruella asked as she got in the camera. "This is Fairy Godmother" Mal introduced.
Jade felt her mother's eyes spearing into her soul. "Still doing tricks with eggplants?" Maleficent asked. "I turned a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage" Fairy Godmother defended.
"Are you okay?" Jay whispered into Jade's ear. "Yeah why?" Jade asked making eye contact. Jay glanced at the screen before back at Jade. "Is she looking?" Jade asked.
Jay nodded. "Jade honey!" Gothel said making Jade turn to her. "Yes" Jade said. "I hope you're listening to me while you're down there. I would hate to have to relive the past" Gothel said.
The inside of Jade was screaming for her to stand up to her mother. "I understand, mother" Jade said calmly. Her hand was shaking so Jay grabbed it.
"Carlos, is that a dog? Oh, yes, yes, baby, I do understand. It would make the perfect size for earmuffs." Cruella asked.
"He's the perfect size for a pet" Carlos defended. "Oh" "This dog loves me, and I love him. And fyi, your dog is stuffed! So give it a rest!" Carlos said.
"O-oh burn" Jafar said. "Oh! Why don't you go sell a toaster, you two-bit salesman!" Cruella argued. The parents continued to argue until Jay turned off the tv.
"I'm so sorry" Fairy Godmother apologized. "Thanks for the special treat" Jay said before the VKs packed up their stuff.
Princess purred as she was on Jade's shoulder. "M? What do you think our parents are gonna do to us. If we don't pull this off?" Evie asked.
"I think they will be quietly disappointed in us, but ultimately... proud of us for doing our best." Mal encouraged. "Really?" Carlos asked.
"No, she lying we're goners" Jade said before walking away. "Yeah" Evie agreed before they all went their separate ways.

"Okay, we all know what this looks like. So it'll be up on the dais under the beast's spell jar, and we'll be coming in from here. I will be in the very front. You all will be up in the balcony. Okay. Carlos?" Mal explained her part of the plan.
"Okay, so I'll find our limo, so we can break the barrier, and, uh, get back on the island with the wand." Carlos said.
"Perfect Evie?" Mal said. "Yeah?" Mal held up a perfume bottle. "You will use this to take out the driver. Two sprays and he'll be out like a light. Jade will be with you to knock down anybody that comes your way" Mal said. Evie nodded.
Jade looked to see what Mal was reading. "M?" Jade called. "Yeah?" Mal said. "You want to break Ben's love spell?" Jade asked.
"Well yeah, You know, for after. I don't... I've just been thinking, you know, when the villains finally do invade Auradon, and begin to loot and kick everyone out of their castles and imprison their leaders and destroy all that is good and beautiful, Ben still being in love with me just seems a little extra... cruel. Plus you said it yourself. You don't fall in love so..why should I?" Mal said.
Mal shut her book before getting up and leaving the room.

Jade couldn't sleep due to tossing and turning that night. She sat up and noticed both the boys sleeping. Jade debated against sleeping with Jay.
She'd rather not be exhausted tomorrow so she swallowed her pride and walked to Jay's bed. Jade slowly lifted the covers before laying down next to Jay. Jay shifted and turned around.
"You okay?" He asked in a raspy, tired voice. "Yeah, I couldn't sleep" Jade said. "You okay now?" Jay asked. Jade nodded. "Okay good" Jay said as he wrapped his arm around Jade's waist bringing her closer.
Jade took a deep breath before smiling a little to herself. Oh Hades, her worst fear was happening. She was getting attached.
