Chapter 28 | lia?

"What?" The boys asked getting dragged away from the rest of the club.

"I've only told you guys about this before..and they just texted me.." Hailey said.
"Who?" The boys both asked confused.

"Lia" Hailey looking down.

Zander sighed, "just ignore her. She's a brat."

"What does it say?" Jake asked not listening to Zander.

"I haven't opened it.." Hailey said.

"Whatever, just delete her number or something. I don't want her being part of your life again." Zander said resting his hand on Haileys shoulder.

"I'm going to go back to Luke.." Zander said walking away.

"Let's go.." Hailey said.
"Wait, open it.." Jake said.
"What?" Hailey asked confused.
"Open the text, maybe it's important.." Jake said.
"But..she's a brat.." Hailey said, her head hanging low.
"I know. But when was the last time she ever texted you?" Jake asked.
"3-4 years ago.." Hailey said staring at her phone.
"Then maybe it's important.." Jake smiled.
"Okay." Hailey said opening the text.

Hailey took a deep breath then read it out loud:

"Hey Hailey. I know you probably don't want to talk to me right now but I'm sorry-" Hailey stopped.

"She's sorry?" Hailey said.
"Carry on reading it.." Jake said siting down. Hailey sat down next to him and continued to read it.

"I really am. I'm sorry for leaving you. I'm sorry for bullying you. I'm sorry for not being there for you."
Hailey stopped again.

"Why did you stop?" Jake asked.
"I don't know..is she telling the truth.." Hailey said holding Jakes hand.
"Maybe, maybe not. But she actually texted you after years..maybe she is telling the truth." Jake said holding her hand.

"After hearing you sing, I realised that I made a mistake. Drew is your friend right? So can I too?"

"Wow.." Jake said.
"What-what do you say Jake?" Hailey asked looking up at Jake.
"Me? It's you. She asked you.." Jake smiled.
"So..should I forgive her?" Hailey asked nervously.
"Maybe you should talk to her, face to face." Jake said wrapping his arm around her.
"I'll try..could you ask her if it's a prank before I talk to her?" Hailey asked.
"Sure thing princess" he smiled.

"Let's go back to the others now!" Hailey said jumping up.
"Okay!" Jake laughed.

"So?" Zander asked when they arrived back.
"So what?" Jake asked.
"Did you open the text?" Zander said.
"Yea..but..she wants to be friends again.." Hailey said.
Zander eyes widened. He didn't look happy about this.
"I'll ask her if it's a prank or not! Then they will talk face to face!" Jake said.
Zander sighed and walked away.
"He's not happy..is he.." Jake said. Hailey nodded her head.

"GUYS GUYSSSS!!!!!!!" They are about to announce the winners!!!" Milly exclaimed.
