on a cold and empty night, chilly night breeze accommodated with a little bit of saltiness that flows though the air from the sea carried by the wind, a partly clouded sky and the angry flickering of the city lights from a distance, in the middle of it all are two bodies locked with one another in a tight embrace, keeping each other safe and warm.

strong and gentle arms wrapped around his small figure.

a sudden thought that could ruin his mood for the rest of the night with a possible aftermath of them engaging into an unnecessary argument.

Felix opened his mouth,

"if I die early... would you be with someone else?"

the question came floating in the air for a few seconds before he heard a small sigh, as though it wasn't the first time they had these kind of talks before.

a kiss on his neck,

"I'll be gone before you."

replied his lover whose arms tightened around him, as though scared he will disappear.

"now, we can't be certain about that, can we? you can answer me truthfully. I just wanna know."

humming, Hyunjin asked him back the same question.

"how about you? will you find someone else when I die?"

"no, I won't."

Felix replied almost instantaneously.

"no one will ever amount to you. it's you or no one at all."

his head was tilted, another kiss on his freckled nose and his knitted forehead,

his lover spoke,

"then you should know that no one could ever be compared to you. no one can ever take your place as you're the only one. I love you so. you can take my heart as you go to eternal slumber, for I shall be your company and hug you in your wake. in the next life and the next ones after that."

his lover's eyes screams utter sincerity. His voice so firm with full conviction as it was genuine, making Felix tear up as warmth crawl from within his chest, prickling over and tickling his skins.

the night was cold with only the faint glow of the moon gracing over two bodies locked in warm embrace.

it was empty, but they were there. always. in a promise of eternity no one can ever replace.
