6: |Unexpected Date|

- Draken POV -

I watched as (Y/n) left the playground. It slipped out of my mind that she was helping out with the festival. I was going to ask her later on if she wanted to go with me. A date. . .at least in my mind. Emma and Hinata soon appeared. "Hey, Draken, are you free on August 3rd?" Emma asks me. "Yeah, why?" I ask her. "Would you like to go to the festival with me?" She asks. I thought for a moment. I probably was going to stay home since (Y/n) is busy that night. Would be weird if I just went alone to see her. "Sure," I reply. This could at least give me an excuse to see (Y/n) without being weird.

- (Y/n) POV-

"Thank you so much for helping me, (Y/n)." Miss Tanaka said. "It's my pleasure to help out a good friend." I smile at her. She pats my hand when she grabs hold of it. "You are such a sweet young lady. Any man would be happy to be with you." She tells me. I blush a bit at her last sentence. "I hope I find the right one," I reply. We began working as people started to come to the festival. 

Our stand contained sweets and drinks that Miss Tanaka and I made. I also made little animal keychain dolls for any children that wanted them. It made me smile when the children smiled at their keychains. "Hey, (Y/n)!" I look up to see Hinata, Takemichi, Ken, and Emma. "Hey, guys!" I greet them. I then noticed Emma was holding Ken's arm. For a split second. . .I felt weird about seeing that. I shook off the feeling and gave them a small smile. "Ne, are you guys having a double date?" I ask. "Kind of," Takemichi says a bit flustered. "Emma and I aren't dating, so I wouldn't say it's a double date," Ken says. I noticed the small disappointment in Emma's expression. "How are you holding up here?" Ken asks. "We're doing wonderfully. I just can't help but smile when the kids love the keychains I made." I smile at him. "Well, you do know a way to get into a kid's heart." Ken chuckles. "Anyway, we better be going. There's still so much to do and have fun with." Emma said. She began to drag Ken away as she craved some other dessert. "Have fun!" I wave at them. 

Not long after seeing the others, a boy older than me came up to the stand. A lanky teenager with predominantly black hair and a yellow streak in the middle. He also has the kanji characters for the words "Sin" and "Punishment" tattooed on his left and right hands. "Hello, what can I get for you?" I ask him in a kind manner. "You're Sano (Y/n), correct?" he asks me. I grew a bit nervous since he knew my name. I have also never seen him before and somehow he knows who I am. "Hanma-Kun, you finally arrived." Miss Tanaka said. "You know him?" I ask her. She nods and smiles. "Genkai-san told me all about Hanma-Kun and how much he is such a good boy." She says. I sigh in relief as I don't have to be nervous about him. "So it gave me an idea that you two would be a good match for each other. I invited Hanma-Kun to take you out on a little date tonight here at the festival." A d-date?! I felt my cheeks heat up from blush. "B-But I'm supposed to help you tonight," I told her. "And you did very well, dear. I want to repay all you're hard work and let you have fun. Now go while the night is still young." She says as she nudges me near Hanma. I gave in and walked with him. "Have fun you two!" Miss Tanaka smiles. 

- Hanma POV -

I can see why people are so crazy about Mikey's twin. She's a total hottie. A cute one too. Though, I kinda thought she was a little talkative. "You seem a little quiet. Nervous?" I ask her. She jumps a little as I spoke to her. "Y-Yes. . .I'm a bit nervous. I-I've never b-been on a d-date before." she stutters a bit. A girl like her? Never go out on a date? Probably Mikey's doing as everyone says. He's the barrier between her and the people who want her. I grin to myself. "Want anything to eat or drink?" I ask her. She nods her head. I just need to befriend her first. "Let's go sit somewhere while we eat." I smile at her. Then there's no stopping me from getting, even more, closer to her. 

"Beautiful night, huh?" I ask her. She hums and looks up at the sky. "Hanma-San, I'm not a fool, y'know." She says. Can she already tell on what I'm doing? No. "You're a delinquent, aren't you?" She looks at me with those big dark eyes. It's a bit frightening when she has no expression, to be honest. "What gave me away?" I chuckle. "I just know one when I see one. You're different from the ones I've met. You seem to be the person who likes the adrenaline within fights. You like to cause pain towards others." I didn't think I was that easy to read. "You sure do have the eyes for things." I sigh as I lean my head back. This might be it for my plan. "Though. . ." I raise a brow and look at her. "Deep inside. . .you have a soft heart. It may be to family, a lover, or friends. Everyone has a weakness and everyone has a heart. No matter how cruel you can be, you're bound to crack because of your heart." She says. 

I felt her grab my hand and smile at me. "You're a good person. Even if you don't believe it's true, everyone is when they have a heart." she hums. I stayed silent and looked into her eyes. "I apologize if I wasn't a good date at the start of this. Let's have fun while the night is young." She smiles. This is something I didn't expect. Not in a long time. I stood up and smile down at her. "No need to apologize. I apologize for not being more genuine with you." I apologized to her. Sano (Y/n). . .she's really something else.
