Chapter 20

IRENE

Eighth PM when we arrived at the house, naunang bumaba si Greggy kesa saakin kaya inakala kong hihintayin niya ako but he didn't even look at me when he came out to the van! I raised my eyebrows. Manang tapped my shoulder so i looked at her.

"You better talk to him i'm telling you, Victoria" She said before she left me.

"Irene nga kasi!" Inis kong sigaw. I waited for Yanne to come out to their van kahit na siya ang nasa passenger seat ay nahuli parin itong lumabas kaya nilapitan ko ang van nila saka binuksan ang pinto ng passenger seat.

As i opened the door, i saw Yanne peacefully sleeping so I called Lu to carry her sister and bring it to her room. I opened the door when we reached Yanne's room, Lu carefully put down her sister avoiding waking her sister up.

"Thank you, kuya" I said and kissed his temple before he left the room.

Inalis ko na ang sapatos ng anak ko at inayos ang higaan niya bago umalis.

"Sleep tight my love" I whispered before I kissed her forehead and left her room.

Pagka labas ko sa kwarto niya ay sakto naman ang pag sara ng pinta sa kwarto namin. Bahagyang kumumot ang noo ko dahil padabog ang pagkakasara.

Naglakad ako palapit sa kwarto namin at pagbukas ko ay sakto naman ang paglabas ni Greggy mula sa terrace. Nilapag ko ang gamit ko sa higaan saka lumapit sa kanya.

"Hey," He turned to see me when he heard my whisper. Hindi siya umimik.

"Is this about earlier?" I asked, he didn't move.

"Bella paid the bill too, hindi lang ikaw, also minsan nalang tayo umuwi ng Ilocos ayaw mo pang ilibre ang mga bata" Malumanay kung sabi saka umupo sa upuan sa gilid malapit sa sliding door.

"Kung sa pera lang ang ikinagagalit mo, okay fine! papalitan ko–" He cut me off so i raised my eyebrow.

"It's not about the money, it's just that... nevermind go change your clothes and go to the bed, Irene" Mabilis kong nilipat ang tingin sakanya. What? did he just call me by my name? tss.

As I stood up, i rolled my eyes. Pumasok na ako sa loob at kumuha ng pantulog bago pumasok sa bathroom para nag freshen up. Pagka labas ko sa bathroom ay nasa terrace parin siya, hindi ko na siya pinansin at tuluyang lumabas ng kwarto. I'll sleep in Yanne's room.

Pagkagising ko nakita kong naka titig lang si Yanne saakin.

"Bakit dito ka natulog?" Yanne asked.

"Kasi daddy is mad" I said as i rubbed my eyes.

"Quarreled?" Yanne asked again, i shook my head.

"Ikaw umagang umaga ang dami mong tanong, just give it to mommy nalang hm'kay? now go to the bathroom and mag gargle ka may amoy anak look oh my dry saliva na sa gilid ng labi mo" I said and pointed at the side of her lips.

"Kiss mo muna ngarud ako" Ngumuso pa nga! i shook my head telling her no.

"Sige na kini-kiss mo naman si daddy kapag umaga tapos ako hindi?" Nag pout siya. I was about to say something when someone knocked on the door, si Yanne na ang nag bukas ng pinto tutal siya naman ang naka tayo.

"Na ayna apo dios ko! bumangon kayon aldawen!" Bahagya akong napapikit sa bulyaw ni manang.

"Bigbigat manang," I said with my hoarse voice. Pumasok si manang sa kwarto at agad ma dumiretso sa saakin.

"Victoria, I'm telling you. Get up go wash your mouth, kausapin mo ang asawa mo nagtataka na si mommy ha" Nasa may paahan ko siya, bahagya niyang hinila pababa ang comforter.

"Manang!" Inis kong sabi.

"Get up, Victoria!" I rolled my eyes.

"Victoria, tss..." I almost whispered but i was shocked when manang threw the pillow at me.

"Bubulong bulong hindi naman marunong," I glared at her, i rolled my eyes and went to Yanne's bathroom.

YANNE

Pagka baba namin ni mama sa dining agad kami nah tungo hindi pa sila kumpleto ang iba ay nag sisibabahan palang. Kakabalik lang ni daddy sa kusina, galing siguro sa garden.

"Morning daddy" I said and walked towards him, daddy kissed my temple.

"Good morning, where's mommy?" He asked.

"She's still upstairs po, did you fight last night?" I curiously asked. Daddy shook his head.

"No, why? did she sleep in your room?" Tumango ako. I don't believe daddy, mommy won't sleep in my room without reason.

"Weh?" Mapang asar kong tinaas ang mga kilay ko, ginulo lang ni daddy ang buhok ko bago siya umupo. Sakto naman pag upo ko ay ang pag dating ni mommy.

Tabi sila ni daddy syempre. Mama Imee led the prayer and after that we started to eat our breakfast. I can't stop myself from smiling when i see daddy put some rice on mommy's plate wala lang i just find it cute 'cause even if they're not in good terms right now daddy still cares for my mommy.

Napawi ang ngiti ko nang sikuhin ako ng katabi ko, tinignan ko ng masama si kuya Vin.

"Stop smiling you looked like an idiot smiling for nothing" I rolled my eyes. Kill joy.

"Look at my parents, they still care for each other even if they're fighting!" I shouted but in a whispered way.

"Just eat, mama will scold us when she caught us whispering here" He whispered so i chuckled making mama Meldy look at us. Kuya Vin kicked my foot under the table so I looked at him giving him a "what?" look.

"Eat Celestine, Vincent. You both know that i don't want you guys to talk too much while eating" Mama Meldy seriously. My mom glanced at us. Oh no...

Nilubayan ko si kuya Vin at nag patuloy sa pag kain. We don't have an agenda for today pero aalis na si kuya Khiel kasi dalawang araw lang daw ang paalam niya kela tita.

Pagkatapos naming kumain nag tagal pa kami sa dining dahil sa mga kung ano anong tanong nila kay ate Bella minsan napupunta saakin ang usapan depende nalang dahil na ta-topic din nila si mommy o  'di kaya'y si mama Imee.

Mga magulang ko low-key lang ang away nila tignan mo naman, hindi sila bati pero ang sweet parin, naka lagay sa sandalan ng upuan ang kamay ni daddy habang hinahaplos ang balikat ni mommy.

"Kayo? what's the problem between you two? you've been quit the whole time what's the matter, Victoria?" Tanong ni mama Meldy kay mommy at kita ko naman ang pag ka irita niya dahil tinawag nanaman siyang Victoria.

"Irene kasi!" Mommy said irritatedly making us chuckled. Now i know where I got my attitude.

"What ever, so ano nga? nag away nanaman kayo?" There's a silence for a while. Tahimik silang dalawa ni daddy habang kami hinihintay lang ang sagot ni mommy.

Matagal bago mag salita si mommy hanggang sa bigla nalang siyang tumayo at umalis, sinundan naman siya ni daddy.

"Ewan ko ba sa dalawang yan, ang tagal tagal nang nag sasama pero hindi parin nasasanay sa ugali ng isat-isa" Kunot noong sabi ni mama Imee.

"Si Irene ganyan lang 'yan pero gusto lang mag pa lambing" Sulpot ni tito Bong na ikinatawa namin.

Nag paalam akong aakyat ako pero ang totoo guguluhin ko lang ang mga magulang ko. Bahagya kong binuksan ang pinto pero hindi ko sila nakita kaya pumasok nalang ako. When i entered their room i saw them at the terrace, nag papa araw.

Dad is hugging mom from the back while they slowly sway their body. I can't help it but to smile, i took a picture of them and sent it to our family group chat.

I slowly walk toward them and then i slowly hug them even if i cannot totally hug both of them. Nilipatan nila ako ng tingin nang maramdaman nila na yumakap ako.

We stayed like that for about fifteen minutes until kuya Lu and kuya Fonso joined us. I missed this, na miss ko yong ganito na kaming lima lang tapos yakap yakap namin ang isat isa. Sana palaging ganito.
