In Which Nari Finally Tells the Group Part of Her Family. 4 Years Into Living With Eachother.
(tw// slight mentions of abuse and rape, i will give a warning once it gets to that part.)
of course txt had had family meetings, i mean, this was their way to communicate about their feelings (which nari always lied about or avoided). but never one like this.
nari never expected their own biological families to be a topic of one of these meetings, then again nari thought everyone's parents never got along until she turnt the age of eight and saw all of her friend's families.
ahhh, how in the world did she ever end up here? watching the people she thought were her only plausible family pour their hearts out about how much they missed their own.
nari wasn't mad that they were technically saying they didn't think of txt as a close family bond as she saw the group (like they were biologically related), nari had never experienced one of those before so she couldn't be mad. she never knew what it felt like to be in a household where she was loved dearly, where people weren't beating you because you dropped a plate at the age of four, where you felt safe with the people around you. except from this one.
listening to everyone elses views on how they thought being an idol still meant they could see their family regularly, and kai crying over how much he missed his parents, nari started to think about what she would say. being an idol was her escape from her home life if she was honest.
she only missed her mother, who called monthly. gi was with her, hyun-ki was back in scotland after her dad fled there away from the police. but that was all four years ago now, also the reason she moved into the dorms, so she got over it. her oldest brothers never cared for her, gi was their favourite, so she didn't miss them.
her younger sister and brother hyejin and hwan— okay so maybe she did miss them. but she had only met her youngest siblings kyu and hyun-ae once as covid came and all. so she just thought that txt was her family. god she was lonely.
