Max

I woke up in the tower.

I was in the same room Peter had been in when he got stabbed.

I immediately sat up.

There was a large mass of bandages on my chest, and on my legs. My right arm was also in a sling.

"Woah, Woah, Woah!" Doctor strange had scrubs on and tried to force me back to laying down. "Lay down!"

"What the fuck is going on?" I said. I lifted my arm. "What did you do-"

"Max." Doctor Strange said. "Lay down. We'll explain it all soon."

"What the fuck did you do to me!" I shouted. "What's wrong with me?"

"Max!" Bruce Banner ran over to me. "Calm down! You're okay."

"What the fuck-" I exclaimed, looking around.

I was in the tower.

I was in the tower.

I was in the tower.

"How did I get back here-" I asked.

"We'll explain it soon." Doctor Strange said. "We need you to wait a little longer, okay? You're safe here."

"I sure as hell aren't." I swung my legs over the side of the bed, standing.

"No-" Banner shouted, then was silent. "What?"

"What?" I muttered.

"Uh," Strange muttered. He pulled out a laptop. "Uh..." He showed it to Banner. They both looked at me, very concerned.

"How are you standing right now?" Banner asked.

I raised my eyebrows. "Uhh, I just am?"

"You need to get back on the bed," Strange said. "Get up there. We'll figure that out in a moment."

"What?" I frowned. I got back on the bed.

"Hey, Dr. Strange-" Stark walked in. "Any updates?"

"Uh," He motioned to me. "We need to talk."

"Oh, wonderful." Stark smiled. "Welcome back Max."

"What the fuck is going on?" I whispered.

"Right, um." He glanced at me. "We have some things to go over."

"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" I asked. The lights flickered. "Why is your power shitty? You're a billionaire."

"Well, someone's changed." He rolled his eyes.

"Tell me what's going on," I demanded.

"Max, you need to calm down. Something very bad could happen-"

"Fuck you," I muttered. I got up off the bed and looked around the surrounding area. "Where's my stuff?"

"What-" Stark asked.

"Where is my stuff? All my clothes?"

"We found it on a rooftop if that's what you're referencing." Stark backed away from me. "We put it back in your room-"

"Great, thanks." I turned on my heel and left, thankful my room was the closest to the elevator. There were, of course, eleven more rooms in the hall, in case of emergency, but no one used them, to my knowledge.

"Max Pierce get back here right now-" Stark shouted.

"Nope!" I replied, pressing the button on the elevator until it opened. I stepped in. It was empty. "Take me to my room FRIDAY,"
