In the deep of the night, playing notes on my body that nobody else could hear, I saw you in the mist between two worlds. You were lying on a sofa, not far from my bed. We stretched our arms, trying to touch each other. I didn't know you until that moment and, at the same time, it was the realisation of a long suspected truth. Why wouldn't I find someone worth loving in this world if not because you weren't there? My fingers almost touched you but time and space wouldn't allow it and, in an unbearable fraction of a second, we were split again, each one alone in their own world, absence substituted by painful separation.
