Donghyuck and Mark were texting each other the rest of the day.
They had to agree on the place to meet, but instead of that, they texted about their life. Mark missed his crush a lot, but it seemed like Donghyuck also missed him. It was like they wanted to find out how their lives changed more than they wanted to meet.
Donghyuck told Mark that he was now a model. Mark was very proud of the boy as he knew his little crush had a pretty face and enviable body to be a model. Then it was Mark's turn to share some news about his life. He had to tell his friend about his writer's job, that he was finally one. Of course, it made Donghyuck so happy that he put heart emojis all over the screen. He liked it.
About the emojis, though. Mark was trying to be cool and didn't use any of them. But Donghyuck was the complete opposite. The boy put them where it wasn't necessary. He put a lot of hearts and cats, giving Mark off a feminine and childish vibe. The way he texted was similar too. He never forgot to use tilde as if trying to pass cuteness through his texts. He succeeded. Mark found it adorable.
They started texting about the place only when it was evening. Mark was so busy chatting with his crush that he didn't notice how Taeyong left with a proud smile. His manager felt like a matchmaker!
Anyway, they've decided to meet in the town in the middle of their living areas. Donghyuck wanted to pick a cafe or restaurant, but Mark rejected the idea. You see, the young writer was scared that he would lose an appetite just because of nervousness about meeting Donghyuck. So he recommended going there first and then planning if they wanted to eat or not.
Mark faced difficulty when he woke up the next day and realized that he had to decide on his clothes too. He wanted to look cool and handsome but at the same time natural. Mark didn't want Donghyuck to know that he dressed in his best clothes just because he wanted to impress him.
In the end, he wore black skinny jeans and a simple T-Shirt. Even if he wanted to wear a tight one, he changed his mind and picked something normal. Let's leave those tight ones to writing nights when no one was seeing him!
It had been months since Mark had styled his hair, but still, he did his best to create a beautiful hairstyle out of the nest resembling hair. He parted his hair so that he could show his forehead.
When Mark got ready, he left his home after he gave the keys to Taeyong. Then the young writer went to the subway station and he gathered his courage to text Donghyuck about getting on the train. Surprisingly, Donghyuck texted back and that was how they survived an hour trip to their destination.

Mark got out of his train and locked his eyes on the walking back and forth people. He knew that somewhere there was Donghyuck as the boy had already arrived.
Still looking for his friend, Mark felt dumb for not asking the boy to send him a picture of himself. Mark had no idea which hair color Donghyuck had, what his style was, and so on. Around, he saw hundreds of people dressed like someone who could possibly be Donghyuck but wasn't. Mark checked them out from all possible angles and knew that none of them was his crush.
Mark started getting stressed out, so he went to a very corner of the subway station and texted Donghyuck again. He asked them to meet near the candy shop as it was the most highlighted shop in that area. Mark was sure he would be able to see Donghyuck right away.
And there Mark was, going towards the candy shop, his eyes nervously running around the people who passed by their planned spot. It wasn't as easy as he thought. Mark's heart raced every time he saw someone stopping at the candy shop, but, in the end, he was the only one standing there.
Two or three minutes passed and Mark didn't see Donghyuck anywhere. Only he and some girl stood there alone, making it even more awkward for Mark. He felt like a loser standing near the kids' so-liked the candy shop. People continued passing by, which woke up Mark's anxiety.
I shouldn't have gone I shouldn't have gone I shouldn't have gone I shouldn't have gone...
"Hey," Mark turned to the girl, surprising even himself. "Have you seen a guy standing here before us? I think I–"
"Mark?"
The girl fully faced the young writer, a wide smile grew on her face.
It sent Mark into a panic attack. Who as she?
"Mark!" the girl hugged the boy and snuggled to his chest. *
Mark could only laugh awkwardly at this situation. He wasn't a fan of touches with his close friends, so he was even worse when it came to strangers.
Nevertheless, he let the girl hug him as much as she wanted. But he could breathe only when she drew back.
"I don't want to sound rude," Mark cleared his throat now that they were looking into each other. "But do I know you?"
There was confusion on the girl's face, but it disappeared as fast as it appeared. She smiled widely again, her smile hitting Mark right into his heart when he noticed a very familiar pair of lips.
"I'm sorry, Mark. I forgot to tell you about the changes in my appearance."
Little by little, the realization hit Mark. Everything seemed so familiar about this girl.
"D-Donghyuck?"
"I'm Dongsook from now on."
* in this fic Donghyuck is way shorter than Mark.
