Y/N adored Eddie but something was off with him she didn't want to accuse him of seeing someone else but that's all that Y/N could think of, he would blow her off to do other stuff and at first she didn't mind but then important events were coming up where he would be doing something else and it just became annoying to her.
She followed him one day after school because Y/N had had enough of the sneaking around and the lack of time they were spending together. Y/N followed him into the forest and she hid behind a large tree that very easily kept her out of anyone's view, Y/N did not expect to see Chrissy sitting on a bench she was definitely waiting for someone and if Y/N's gut instinct was right she was waiting for her boyfriend who she had been work for three years.
Eventually Eddie turned up and the two were just bouncing off each other there was definitely chemistry between the two, whether it was purely platonic or there was a romantic connection there as well the curious girl would just have to wait around and find out,
'You're with Y/N right?" Chrissy asked Eddie and he nodded his head, he had been smiling while talking to Chrissy and when his girlfriends name was mentioned his smile just grew even more
'Y/N is amazing I have never met anyone like her before, we've been together for almost four years now." Eddie said and Y/N couldn't help but smile to herself
'That's so cute. Y/N is so lovely we always get on well when we're in lessons together she is ridiculously smart.' Chrissy praises Y/N. Y/N was just about to turn around and walk away thinking there was nothing for her to worry about but that was until she heard what Eddie had to say next
'I love her to bits but I feel like something is missing with us, she makes me so happy but there's just something off with us now and I can't put my finger on it.' Eddie confessed and Y/N felt her heart sink to the bottom of her stomach
'What do you mean? I see you and her around school all the time and you both looked so loved up. I look at the two of you and wish I had that with Jason.' Chrissy says in surprise and Eddie laughs
'I do love her I am so in love with Y/N but like I said I feel like something is just missing with us both.' Eddie continues, Y/N didn't want to stick around and hear the rest she saw Eddie and Chrissy exchange money and drugs, Y/N sat on the dirty floor and leaned against the tree she was hiding behind she then saw Chrissy walk past her and when Chrissy turned around to see what was in the corner of her eye she saw a very upset and crying Y/N.
"Please just go Chrissy." Y/N whispered and Chrissy's heart broke when she saw her upset Y/N was. The upset girl then stood up and walked straight past Eddie who was packing up his drugs and money and putting them into his bag,
"Y/N, woah! Wait!" Eddie grabbed his girlfriends hand and turned her around to him "What's wrong?" He asked her once he saw she had been crying, he tried to wipe her eyes but she moved her head away to stop him
"I heard everything Eddie, if you think something is missing between us then let's just break up now." Y/N said firmly
"I never said I wanted to break up with you Y/N." Eddie said in shock
"You didn't need to. If something is missing and you can't work out what it is then why stay together? You're just going to be constantly searching for what that missing thing is in our relationship and if you can't find that in me, then you sure as hell will find it in someone else and do you know what? I already think you have." Y/N said as she gestured to Chrissy's very faint body walking back to school behind Eddie, when he turned around to see what his girlfriend was indicating he sighed.
"Y/N—" When Eddie turned back around he saw Y/N taking off her necklace with Eddie's initial on it "What are you doing?" Eddie asked with fear
"I love you so much Eddie but like I said if you think something is missing in our relationship and you don't think I'm the one for you then I'm sorry but I think you should go and chase whatever is your looking for. I'm not going to hold you back." Y/N said as she opened Eddie's hand and placed her necklace in the palm of it, she then kissed Eddie's cheek and started to walk away "Goodbye Eddie." Y/N said, Eddie was stunned he couldn't believe that this had just happened.
The love of his life had just walked away from him and he was astonished because he was going to tell her what was missing in their relationship and that was being together forever— the two had three weeks left of school and the day the two were going to graduate he was going to propose to her. He couldn't let her just walk away he had to stop this from happening
"Marry me!" Eddie shouted to Y/N
"What did you just say?" Y/N sniffled as she turned around to face Eddie from a fair few feet away from him
"I want you to marry me." He says
"Eddie I—"
"I was going to ask you three weeks from now at graduation, that's what is missing in our relationship Y/N I want to spend forever with you. I want you to marry me." Eddie explains, Y/N stares at Eddie for a little while before bursting into a smile and running up to Eddie and hugging him tightly "Is that a yes?" He asks
"In every language." She whispers
"I guess you should have this back then." Eddie smirks as he puts Y/N's necklace back on her from behind and when she turned around she kissed him passionately.
"You got through that by the skin of your teeth Munson." Y/N jokes
"I know, I couldn't just let you walk away from me I am never letting that happen." He smirks as he picks her up off the ground
"Well it's a good thing that it's not going to happen then." Y/N smiles down at Eddie as she brushes his hair away from his face before placing a kiss softly on his lips.
