When Y/N got back to her home which she did in fact share with her ex boyfriend Matt, the two agreed that he would carry on living in their home until he found himself a new place. Y/N did offer to move out but Matt refused saying that he had caused her enough trouble and the least he could do was to carry on letting Y/N live in the home they bought together and instead he would be the one to move out.
Matt wasn't at home the night Y/N came back from her meal with Reece he was staying at a friends place for a few nights leaving Y/N to have the place to herself. Y/N was in the kitchen grabbing herself a coffee so she could just relax and watch some TV before going to bed, by the time Y/N had sat down on her sofa and turned on the TV there was a light knock on her front door— she looked at her watch and saw that the time was fairly late and couldn't think who would be calling round at her place this late in the night but nevertheless she walked towards the front door and opened it to find Jamie stood in front of her.
"Jamie." Y/N sighed a little bit "What are you doing here? It's almost eleven." Y/N continued to say
"I needed to see you, can I come in?" He asked softly all Y/N did was step aside so that he could walk into her home and she closed the door behind him. Jamie looked around and could see lots of Matt's stuff in the house and he tried not to say anything about it but he just could help himself "How come Matt's stuff is still here?" He asked and the way it came across sounded bitter but he never meant it to be interpreted that way.
"Because he's still living here until he finds himself a new place." Y/N replied knowingly "What did you want to talk to me about?" Y/N asked as she sat down on her sofa pulling a blanket over her legs while holding her cup of coffee
"I just wanted to tell you about Rosie and myself." Jamie said
"Listen Jamie what you get up to in your dating life shouldn't concern me." Y/N told her friend
"But that's the issue here Y/N it does concern you." Jamie said
"I don't understand."
"No of course you wouldn't, ever since I have known you Y/N I have liked you but you were with Matt—"
"Jamie please don't do this you're with Rosie now and that's not fair no matter how much we may like each other—" Y/N sighed before Jamie cut her off
"You like me too?" He asked her
"I've liked you for such a long time I just thought you were out of my league. The life that you live just isn't for me and that's the only reason I never said anything before, and then I met Matt and everything was just so easy I was happy with him but all I could think of was 'could I be happier?'"
"With me?"
"Yeah with you." Y/N admitted
"So where does this leave us?" Jamie asked Y/N who just shrugged her shoulders at her friend,
"I've just come out of a three year relationship and you've just started seeing someone the timing is never going to be right for us, we're from different worlds Jamie and I don't think either of us realised, just how different they are." Y/N confessed she then put her down her coffee and stood up from the sofa she walked over to where Jamie was sat on the single chair opposite her sofa, she sat on the arm chair and leaned her head on his shoulder.
"I want to be with you Y/N I have always wanted to be with you the only reason I started seeing Rosie was because I thought you and Matt were solid and that I would never get a chance, everyone told me to cut my losses and move on." Jamie told Y/N who stayed quiet for a little while
"Can you stay the night?" Y/N asked Jamie who was a little surprised
"What about Matt?" He asked
"He's away staying at a friends place for a few days. Please stay I want you here with me." Y/N said softly and Jamie smiled before nodding his head, he then stood up from the chair and so did Y/N he hugged her tightly and kissed the top of her head "I don't know what this is Jamie but I just know that I can't see you with someone else not when I know that there's a chance it could be me." Y/N admitted rather selfishly
"I feel the same we'll just see how this goes." He told her before the two made their way upstairs and into Y/N's bed where they both fell asleep with Jamie holding Y/N close to him.
