The next day, Eddie and I are still bored as hell. We couldn't exactly leave to go for a swim in the lake. Or even get food for that matter.

And we have barely any food left.

We still haven't spoken about our feelings towards each other either. But that's probably for the best considering what is going on right now.

"Dustin! Hey, Dustin?! Do you copy? We are running low on food here. We're gonna need some supplies real soon." I hear Eddie's voice call from the kitchen.

I stand up from the sofa and walk towards the kitchen.

Eddie has his back turned to me, looking outside the door. He has the walkie talkie held up to his face as he continues to shout down it.

"Hey, you might not want to do that." I say, making him jump and turn around.

"Jesus christ! You scared me!" He holds his heart from the shock. In the process, he drops the walkie talkie and as it hits the floor, I get hit with a weird uneasy feeling.

Something is wrong. I can feel it.

"Y/N... hey snap out of it." Eddie waves his hand in front of my face, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Sorry, I was just... thinking." I reply, looking into Eddie's eyes.

"Anything in particular?" He asks but I just shake my head.

Time to change the subject.

"So, I'm guessing we are running pretty low on food supplies? I could hear you shouting at Dustin over the walkie talkie." I laugh.

Instead of answering, Eddie goes around and opens up all of the cupboards in the kitchen.

Oh shit... he's right.

"That's not even enough to last another day. I might have to wait until it gets dark so I can sneak out and grab us some food. What did Dustin say?" I ask.

Eddie slams the walkie talkie on the counter and looks up at me.

"He said that they have more important matters to deal with right now. Whatever that's supposed to mean." He shrugs, sitting on top of the kitchen counter.

I look to my left, quickly spotting an old kitchen rag. I grab it, tying it around my head to cover my eyes.

"Woah, woah! What are you doing?" Eddie asks from the counter. I place my index finger to my lips, keeping him quiet.

I begin to see visions of things happening all over the town. Then I see... Steve?

He's shaking someone. Max.

"Wake up."

Dustin, my brother and another kid run over to them screaming.

"You have to wake up Y/N."

Max begins to float in the air. The rest of them screaming and shouting.

"Come on! Wake up Y/N!"

I reach my hand up, ripping the rag away from my eyes. I feel myself breathing heavily as Eddie sits behind me, wrapping his arms around me.

I cling to his arms, leaning back into him as we both sit on the cold floor of the kitchen.

A drop of blood lands on my leg and I wipe the rest from my nose with the kitchen rag.

"You keep getting nose bleeds Y/N. Is that normal?" Eddie asks, concerned.

"Yeah... it's normal."

I mean, technically it is normal for me. But to anyone else, it would be considered concerning.

Wait! Max!

I quickly stand up, almost falling back down from getting up too quick. I grab the walkie talkie from the kitchen counter and hold it towards me.

"Hey! Hey, is anyone there!? Steve! Danny! Dustin! Do you copy?! Hello?!" I shout down the walkie talkie.

No response.

"Shit..."

I pace back and forth not knowing what to do. She'll be alright though. I can feel it. Hopefully that thing doesn't get to her.

"Uhh... care to explain what's going on here?" Eddie walks up to me. He takes the walkie talkie from my hands and places it down.

He gently takes both my hands in his which stops my hands from shaking.

"I don't know what just happened back there but I'm here for you. Alright? Even if you don't wanna tell me what happened, that's okay too. I'm still here for you." Eddie says.

We lock eyes which makes me feel like I'm right where I'm supposed to be. He places a gentle kiss to my forehead before pulling back.

He looks at me with a smile which puts a smile on my face too.

For a moment, I see his eyes flicker down towards my lips which gives me butterflies. Then his eyes lock with mine once again.

He begins to lean in.

I do the same.

But when we are only a few inches apart, the sound of an engine outside draws our attention and we pull away.

Moment ruined.

"Wait here." I say to him and he nods.

I rush over to the small window at the front of the house to see 4 jocks. Just like I saw in my vision. There were only 3 before I swear.

"Shit Eddie, you have to hide." I turn to him and his face instantly drops.

"Where?! Where am I supposed to hide?!" He exclaims and I push him out of the room, handing him the walkie talkie.

"Anywhere! I'll hold them off. You just get to a safe place to hide." I say to him.

"Wait Y/N!"

He calls my name and I turn back around. He places a soft kiss to my cheek and blushes slightly.

"Good luck."

He rushes off into the bedroom and locks the door, leaving me smiling like a maniac.

This situation would be better if these lunatics weren't trying to kill him.
