Wolf, after being chased for a while, had accepted the fact that Benson was gonna be stuck with her for a while after several other failed attempts at losing sight of her. The two walk asWolf steps into a mud puddle, though she could care less. When Benson steps into the wet mud puddle, he groans in frustration.

"Aw, man! They stopped making these two hundred years ago! Do you know what I had to do to get them?!" whines Benson.

"Stop following me. You're going to get us both caught." Wolf has stopped counting how many times she said that to Benson. He refused to leave.

"Stop running and we can keep up."

Wolf responds by running at breakneck speed. The sound of Benson flies behind her ears. She hops on an exposed bridge rod before sliding under a collapsed road sign, soon somersaulting over a whole ice cream truck. She kept running but stopped after hearing the ice cream truck's melody suddenly playing. Wolf quickly turns to see that Benson accidentally bumped into the truck, causing the chime to play.

Wolf's annoyance and anger are clear in her growl, but something else catches her attention.

"You hear that? Six o'clock!"

Both humans turn to see that it's the Humming Bombers flying in the air, and one of them has definitely heard the noise. The two ran to the edge of the bridge and hang by the bridge rods, trying to keep quiet as they hide.

"Eyes peeled for bogies." both of them can't see, but they assume the male voice is the leader of the group.

Their hearts spike in realizing one of them is approaching the edge. Though Wolf hides underneath through other exposed bridge frame rods, which Benson copies to hide as well. The humming flight continues, and both could sense that the one searching is right at the edge. Moments pass, and another voice chimes in, sounding a bit trigger happy.

"I say we drop some nectar bombs. Smoke 'em out of whatever hole they're hiding from!"

"You think this is a toy?" the leader scolds the trigger-happy hummingbird. "One slip and we're all a Sunday toast!"

Benson and Wolf hear one of the hummingbirds licking something, though they don't know what that might be.

"There's nothing here," says the leader. "Humming Bombers, let's fly!"

Humming wings sail off to the distance, signaling the two to sneak out from their hiding spot.

"Whew," Benson sighs in relief. "That was close."

But Wolf wastes no time berating Benson. "That was stupid! We could've died!" Wolf starts to walk away but turns to point at Benson. "Just go away, I can survive on my own!"

"Aren't you tired of just surviving?" Benson questions. "I mean, obviously you can survive on your own, you just jumped over a truck back there. Look, I know you don't need me, Kipo, or anyone else to survive. But that's all you'll ever do if you're just that willing to drop everything and everyone behind! Don't you want to see what else there is? Don't you want to see what we could do together?"

That little speech struck a chord. Her face visibly considers what he's saying. And Benson saw a moment of leaning back, to rethink her position. She wants to see what there is...and she wants to see what they can do...

But she quickly shuts the door again.

"I'm done playing nice with others."

She rushes past Benson, using her spear pole to catapult herself over a wide gap. Benson tries to stop her, but she already launches herself across the gap...
