Chapter 8: Kya mai madad kar sakta hu?

Anuj reached the college and it was already late. He quickly rushed to his classroom but unfortunately their English professor, professor Shakti was already there. He saw Anupama was already sitting on the front seat. Anupama looked at the door as she had seen someone standing there from the corner of her eye. She caught a sight of Anuj and they both were looking at each other. Anupama quickly looked away as Devika budged her arm.

Anuj: Excuse me sir..

Professor Shakti: Why are you late?

Anuj: Sir, actually..

Professor Shakti: never mind, get out. You are not allowed to sit in my class if you come late! Get out!

He came and shut the door on Anuj's face. Anuj was indeed shocked by the behavior of the professor, but he agreed, it was his fault at the end. He was late to college but atleast the professor could've been a little more sweet. He started walking in the corridor as there was nowhere he could go till then.

Soon that class finished and Anuj went to the classroom after Professor Shakti had left. He came in and Sanjay looked at him in a little anger. He was coming in and he looked at Anupama looking at him.

Anuj: Anupama..good morning..

Anupama: Jai Shree Krishn 🙏

Anuj: Jai Shree Krishn 🙏 kaisi ho?

Anupama: mai theek hu, aap..aap theek hai na Anuj? Mera matlab hai, aaj aap der se aaye aur Shakti sir ne aapko danta..aap theek hai ne Anuj?

Anuj: Ha..I'm fine Anupama..meri chinta karni ki zarurat nahi..

Devika: (coughed) guys..hello!

Anuj and Anupama looked away from each other. When talking to Anupama, for Anuj, nothing else mattered, it felt as if the entire world just faded away! But because of Devika, the two were out of their conversation.

Devika: Yeh college hai aur sath hi sath me aur bhi log hai jo tum dono se baat karna chahte hai! For example Sanjay aur mai!

Anuj: Hello Devika! Good morning!

Devika: Good morning Anuj ji! Waise ek baat bata, aaj late kyu aaya?

Anuj: arre yaar bas ho gaya late..jaan booch ke late thodi hua!

Sanjay: Anuj! Kya yaar! Late! Aaj late ho gaya tu?! 3rd day of college and already late?!

Anuj: Arre yaar! Ab lagta hai ki poore time bas yeh hi sunane wala hai tu!

Samjay: arre nahi yaar! Accha chal, notes le le mujhse!

Anuj: Aata hu! See you then Anupama..Devika!

Anuj went away from ther and Anupama looked at Anuj. Devika edged her.

Devika: Anu..mujhe na lagta hai ki..Anu..Anu? Tujhe kya hua?

Anupama: umm..mujhe? Mujhe toh kuch nahi hua Devika..kya bol rahi thi?

Devika: Anu, tu baar baar Anuj ko kyu dekh rahi hai..kahi tujhe..

Anupama: Chod ne Devika! Kuch bhi bolti hai! Tu bol kya rahi thi?

Devika: rehne de..bhool gayi!

Anupama: toh ab chale? Baithe apne seat me? Ki abhi aur kuch bolna hai?

Devika: Nahi nahi! Chalo!

Anupama and Devika left to sit on their seat when the team members of Devika's team approached her.

Kanchan: Devika, can we get to work? Humme decide karna hai ki event kaise karenge and all so let's go!

Devika: Oh ha, sure let's go! Anu tu ja, milti hu tujhe baad me!
