Chapter 21: Anupama ko Anuj ki chinta

Anuj and Arun were left on the fort while Anupama and Devika left from there. Arun punched Anuj and freed himself from Anuj. He was running towards Anupama to catch her but Anuj held him from behind and pulled him backwards.

Anuj: Arun Anupama se dooor reh! Samjha!

Arun: Accha! Anuj tu kya kar lega?!

Anuj: Anupama se dooor rehne me hi teri bhalai hai! Nahi toh!

Anuj punched him hard on his face. Ro which he reverted with a punch to Anuj's face. The two were fighting hard.

Arun: Anuj ab Anupama tujhse bhi baat nahi karegi! Agar Anupama meri nahi toh kisi ki bhi nahi!

Anuj: Mera kya hoga woh toh dekha jayega par tujhe ab kaun bachayega Arun!

Arun and Anuj fought for a long time and they both got hurt in different places. The fight ended with a few locals coming there and separating the two. The locals there got two autos and sent them both home. Upon reaching home Anuj paid the auto and went inside. He came in and Mukku saw Anuj beaten up.

Mukku: Kaka! Kaka! Anuj ko dekho kya hua hai!

GK came down running and saw Anuj. He quickly made him lie down on the sofa. He called up the doctor while Mukku went to the corner and picked up their landline. She dialed Devika's house number as yesterday itself Anuj had asked Mukku to call Devika.

Mukku: Hello, aap Divika bol rahe ho na?

Devika: Ji mai bol rahi hu..aap?

Mukku: Mai Mukku bol rahi hu, Anuj ki behen, aap please jaldi se aa jao Anuj ko bohit chot aai hai! Jaldi se aa jao!!

Devika: Kya?! Dekho mai ab aa rahi hu. Chinta mat karo!

Devika quickly ran out of the house and reached Anuj's.  There she saw Anuj's condition and ran to him.

Devika: Anuj!yeh kaise hua?

Anuj explained Devika everything that took place between him and Arun after Anupama and Devika left. Devika caressed his hair.

Devika: Yaar..Teri yeh halat ho gayo hai..I'm sorry meri wajah se hua hai na yeh sab?

Anuj: Iss me teri kya galti hai Devika? Jo hua woh uss Arun ke wajah se hua. Anupama toh theek hai na?

Devika: usse kya hona tha Anuj?! Woh toh bas!

Devika's anger was well projected on her face. Devika was angry because Anupama wasn't accepting her love for Anuj and Anuj on the other hand was ready to do anything for Anupama. She was also angry with Anupama for being upset with Anuj after knowing that Anuj loves her!

The doctor came and gave the required medication and did his bandage. He told GK what all is needed to be given and then left. Anupama was standing near the door. She saw Anuj's condition, she was so scared to his wounds. After GK went to the kitchen and Mukku went to her room. Anupama ran near Anuj and sat down on the ground. Her eyes filled with water. Anuj's face full of suprise and shock.

Anuj: Anupama tum?

Anupama: Anuj..tum..tum..

Devika slowly went away from there. She went to Mukku's room with her. Tears escaped Anupama's eyes and Anuj tried to get up on his elbows.

Anupama: Anuj! Nahi..leete raho ne, tum abhi theek nahi ho!

Anuj: Anupama tum ro kyu rahi ho?

Anupama: Anuj, yeh sab karne ki kya zarurat thi? Tum..tumhe kitna chot lag gaya iss chakar me! Yeh sab..yeh sab ho gaya..

Anuj: Anupama tum roona band karo aur mujhe apni woh pyari wali smile do. Tum aise rooti hui acchi nahi lagti! Aur jo bhi sab hua usme tumhari kya galti hai bhala? Woh toh uss Arun ki gandi sooch thi jiske wajah se jo hua, hua! Tum apne aap ko dosh dena band karo ab!

Anupama: Par Anuj..

Anuj: Bas! Tumhari koi galti hi nahi hai! Par I'm sorry, jo sab aaj hua woh sab nahi hona chahiye tha..dekho tum chinta mat karo, tum chaho toh hum aage se baat nahi karenge..

Anupama: Nahi Anuj! Please aisa mat karo! Mai..mai..

Anuj just looked at him. Anupama was going to say something but was reluctant.

Anuj: Anupama agar koi baat hai toh bata do..

Anupama took a deep breath and averted her eyes to the other side.

Anupama: Anuj mujhe tumhare pyar se koi aitraz nahi hai..kyunki..kyunki..kyunki mujhe bhi tumse pyar hai!

Anuj: Kya?!

Anupama: Anuj, mujhe tumse pyar hai par mujhe kabhi laga nahi tha ki tumhe mere jaisi koi pasand aayegi..shayad isiliye jab mujhe pata chala ki tumhe mai pasand hu tab mujhe samajh nahi aaya mai kaise react karu isiliye maine itne buri tarah se react kiya tha..

Anuj was in disbelief. He could believe that Anupama just said that she loved him!

Anuj: Anupama! Tumhe aisa kyu laga ki mai tumse kabhi pyar nahi kar sakta? Anupama tumme kami hi kya hai?

Anupama: Bas woh laga..par tumhe itna maar peet karne ki kya zarurat thi mere liye?

Anuj: Anupama,

Tujhe koi tang kare,
Yeh mujhe gawara nahi.
Ladh lunga umr bhar,
Tujh par aane dunga na aanch koi..

Anupama: Anuj..

Anupama hugged Anuj while he was still lying on the sofa. Anuj caressed her hair. Then Anupama looked up at Anuj and he wiped her tears. Then Anuj and Anupama talked for about 2 hours. Then Devika came down.

Devika: Sorry mai yeh tum dono ki baate band kar rahi hu, par bohot late ho gaya hai aur ghar bhi toh jaana hai Anupama!

Anupama and Anuj looked at the clock, it was already 8 pm.

Anuj: arre tum dono jao, bohot late ho gaya hai..abhi aur na ruko. GK aur Mukku hai na mera dhyan rakhne ke liye.

Anupama: Theek hai, apna dhyan rakhna, hum dono chalte hai.

Anupama and Devika left the house. Anuj was smiling and happy. GK cane and sat next to Anuj.

GK: Woh hi thi?

Anuj: Ha! Pata hai GK kya kaha ussne?

Anuj went on to explain the entire thing that happened between him and Anupama.

Anupama and Devika were on the way back when on the way Devika couldn't hold it back anymore.

Devika: Anu, bata na kya hua? Tu aur Anuj itne der tak kya baat kar rahe the?

Anupama shyed. Her face turned to a beautiful color of red.

Devika: tera chehra ko dekh ke toh pata chal hi gaya hai ki kuch na kuch hua hi hai! Bata na mujhe! Mai toh teri khas dost hu!!

Anupama: Devika, tu sahi thi..mujhe kabhi pata hi nahi chala ki kab mujhe..mujhe Anuj se..

Devika: Mujhe pata tha!! Mai jaanti thi ki tujhe Anuj se pyar hai!!

Anupama: Sahi kaha..mujhe hi bohot zyada time lag gaya apne feelings pehechanne me..bechara Anuj, mere wajah se usse kitna sab sehna pad gaya..

Devika: sabse acchi baat toh yeh hai ki tujhe apne feelings aaj hi pata chal gaye. Nahi toh mera toh sach me mann kar raha tha ki mai apna sar kahi phod du jaake!

Anupama: Chal pagal! Kuch bhi soochte rehti hai! Tere jaisa dost hai toh kya dar hai?! Nahi bhi samajh aa raha hota na toh bhi tu hai ne, mujhe maar maar ke realise karwa deti!

They both laughed and then after reaching their homes went off to sleep.
