A week had passed since she had returned and she had been training with Yoriichi, preparing herself for what is to come. Ofcourse, demon slaying should never be taken lightly. But one thing she is excited about is that, her own nichirin sword will be arriving today, so she can't help but feel excitement on having her own sword.
"You look so excited since you woke up." Yoriichi commented as he sat down after his training, making Leona giggled, sitting right beside him. "It is my first time having a sword of my own, it feels different than wielding a borrowed sword." "Well i can agree."A knock was heard on the estate doors, making Yoriichi and Leona look at each other before Yoriichi gestured for her to open the door which Leona obliged to with an excited smile. She opened the door, her smile not fading upon seeing a man with a clown mask.
"Good morning." The man greeted, which Leona responded the same. "I am the swordsmith who forged Ubuyashiki Leona's sword." "Oh i see, please come in."
Leona lead the man in who has something long on his back.
'Does he even know that i am Ubuyashiki Leona? He didn't even asked so it will be rude of me!'
Leona lead him to the Veranda where Yoriichi is sitting down, smiling at them as he muttered for the man to sit down too with them, Leona serving tea for the three of them.
"May i know where Ubuyashiki Leona is? She seem not here?" 'E-excuse you?' An irk mark appeared on Leona's forehead, her smile twitching in irritation at what the man said. Yoriichi blinked, looking at Leona and sweatdropping upon seeing her smile falling by the second."You are looking at her... The girl beside me is Ubuyashiki Leona..."
"Oh... Wait—" The man was taken aback, pointing at Leona surely with wide eyes under his mask. "You are the Ubuyashiki Leona?!" Leona nodded, her smile now appearing sarcastic making the man bow his head low that his mask slammed to the floor.
"Please pardon me, miss Ubuyashiki! I didn't intend to!" "Intend to mistaken me as an ordinary Citizen or maybe a servant?"
The swordsmith almost shrieked, Leona's smile never fading yet an irk mark on her head. Watching the whole scene just made Yoriichi sigh before stopping the two from playing cat and mouse in the future.
"Let's just forget about it alright? I'm sure it won't happen again." Yoriichi then leaned in to Leona's ear to whisper. "You should've followed my advice on wearing the kimono I bought and not your
old ones, they look worn out that's why he mistaken you to whatever was on his mind." Leona pouted at what he said, nodding later and sipping on her tea to relax, making Yoriichi smile before turning to the still bowing swordsmith."Again, the reason why you're here..."
The swordsmith sat up properly once again, taking the long thing that he was carrying on his back when he arrived, taking off the cloth and opening the wooden box for them to see. The swordsmith handed the sword to Leona, who took it with utmost care. She took the time to admire the sword, from it's black sheath and to its blood red hilt with white cloth like pattern design.
"I, Mitsubishi Eisei, forged that sword as instructed and ordered to and it is my pride and joy. Now, take it and lets watch what color it Will turn to."
Leona slowly unsheathed the nichirin blade, putting the sheathe down as she held the sword with two hands, holding it up for them to see it change color.
They watch carefully as her sword slowly turned to a color of obsidian black, gaining a hum from Yoriichi and a shocked expression from Mitsubishi
"Black? I was told in secret that you are a Demon demon slayer, was expecting a blood colored blade!" The swordsmith whined, gaining an awkward giggle from Leona.
"Is it bad?" "No. Each blade varies from wielder to wielder. It could be because of the breath we use, so it is fine. He is just disappointed of his expectations it seems." Leona and Yoriichi looked at the dejected swordsmith who have tears coming out of his clown mask.Leona looked down at her black sword in her hands, a small smile appearing upon seeing a familiar 悵 kanji engraved on the blade. Her Smile widening as her request was fulflled.
"Leona? What is it?" Leona blinked, looking at the curious Yoriichi before showing him the sword that has an engraving despite her being only a tsuguko.
"I asked the sisters on putting an engraving... While i was there on the mountain after the final selection.""Can i... Have a request?"
"What is it?" One of Oyakata-sama's daughters asked, a smile still on her face.
"Can i request to put an engraving on my sword like Yoriichi-sama's?" The girls blinked confused, yet still nodded. "What would the engraving be? Is it the same as his?"
"No... I want the swordsmith to put 'repent' on my sword." Once the word stuck on the girl's mind, their smile widened even more, nodding at her request.
"Ofcourse." "Thank you so much.""I wanted to show the demons to repent for their sins by having their heads cut off." "That is such a nice request." Leona giggled, looking at her sword once again before sheathing it, thanking the swordsmith who seem flustered, before Yoriichi and Leona see him off, waving.
"Well, that went a little bit offhand for a moment."
Leona giggled as she sat down, swinging her feet back and forth as Yoriichi sat beside her, both looking up the clouds. Leona looked down at her hand upon feeling another warm hand on top of hers. Smiling, seeing it is Yoriichi's before looking back up at the clouds. As they were lost in their own thoughts, a familiar sound of a crow echoed. Soon enough, the said crow flew towards their direction, landing beside Leona and looking up at her as she and Yoriichi stared at it.
"Ubuyashiki Leona! You have your first order! Go southwest! Many young ladies have been disappearing and people are in panic!"
Leona looked at Yoriichi who smiled at her, nodding his head. "Looks like you have to go in a few hours... Normally, i would be too worried, but i have faith in you, because you have something that will keep my mind at ease."
Leona smiled, suddenly hugging Yoriichi who was surprised at first, but soon smiled, returning her embrace, resting his chin on her head. However, their peaceful moment was interrupted when...
"No time to lose!!!" The crow shrieked, pecking Leona on the head making her whine, teary eyed as she pouted at the crow. "Atleast let me dress up!"
Yoriichi was quick to take care of the crow to prevent it from pecking and making Leona whine as she ran towards her room to change.Taisho Secrets 🤫
•Mitsubishi really dedicated his time and effort for Leona's sword
•He really thought Leona was a servant or someone who takes care of the estate or maybe a future tsuguko because she looks so young like a child, not because of what she is wearing
