They say life's unexpected
But that doesn't change my perspective
Why do trees sway?
Why do people go away?
I guess it's just the way of life
I need a different view
All the roads I have traveled and not one
Has brought me to the place I begun
Because no matter how we feel
There's a plan for us, still
You do the same thing, everyday
With just a little pay
You're tired of it and don't know what to do
But just don't give up on you
No hero ever had it easy
That's why they told their story
Don't worry if you're not perfect
Because you're still worth it
They say friends come and go
Why they don't stay, I'll never know
I rather stay inside
Than have someone always by my side
They think my life's sad, but that's okay
They might be right, but one day
I'll find my way
To the happy side of me
I'm trying to get a new sense of clarity
I remember all those nights I stayed up crying
I was tired of trying
I guess it's just the way of life
Sometimes people are quick to judge
But I'm trying not to hold a grudge
If there's one thing you get from this
It is my promise
That you can get through this
And someday, you'll find your own piece of happiness :)
