My story isn't normal
I'm not the main character
I'm not even in the top 5
I don't make the cast list in a movie
I'm on the sidelines
Because I'm the extra
I'm not even a side character
I don't say a word in the script
I'm only there to fill the blanks
The empty space
I'm expendable
Because I'm the background character
You don't know my name
You don't know who I am
All you know is I'm not important enough to be a part of the story
I'm like a ghost
You don't see me or notice me
But I'm there
Because I'm just another person
I'm tired of not having my own story
Maybe it's time to tell mine
