There are many who aren't given respect
Those who should be given it too
People who have fought for us
Died for us
Who are spat upon
Hated and rejected
All because they believe in something
They believe our country is worth it
That despite those who resent them
They will fight for them
Soldiers and brave men and women who do what's right
Told that they are murderers and should go to jail for being heroes
People who stay strong under difficult circumstances
Who don't give up
They fight for you and me
Because they love our country
They uphold our flag in pure respect
Not kneeling down when saying the pledge
They are true men and women
Who plead to God when things get hard
Their reputation has been ruined
All because they are strong believers
The very least we can do
Is give them the respect they deserve
