David

"Jason where are you going?"

"For a walk. We have time before we have to get back. Come on." Jason says and holds out a hand for me to take. I grab it and we walk down the streets of Los Vegas.

We walk for a while and just take everything in, when I hear the sound of a kid talking. I stop and turn to my left and see what looks to be a school field.

"David where are you going?" He asks as I walk towards the sound and cut across the field. "David?" He says and I see some poor kid tied to a post.

I take off in a sprint to go free them and Jason runs after me. When I get there I see this frightening little boy tied up to a basketball post.

I start to untie him and Jason gets there to catch him so he doesn't fall. After he's safely in the ground I go around to talk with him.

He tries to get away from us but Jason holds him still. "Kid why were you tied up?" He asks and the kid avoids looking at us.

"What's your name? I'm David Rossi and this is Jason Gideon."

"Spencer, Spencer Reid." The kid says and finally looks at us.

"Where are your parents?" Jason asks and Spencer looks away from us again.

"Spencer, do your parents know where you are?" Spencer shakes his head and I kneel down next to Jason and place a hand on his shoulder.

"Spencer, did they abandon you?" He nods and Jason looks at me and I nod.  "Would you like to come with us? We work with the FBI and I'm sure we can get you some help."

He nods and I hold out one of my hand for him to take. He does so and Jason is on the other side of him and takes his other hand.

We walk back to the hotel we're staying at and Spencer starts to get worried. "What am I going to do about school tomorrow?" Spencer asks.

"Where do you go to school at?"

"That high school you found me at." He says and Jason and I share a surprised look.

"Really? But you're what, 12?" Jason asks and Spencer nods.

"I have an eidetic memory, and an IQ of 180." Spencer says.

"We can get you to school don't worry Spencer." Jason says and we walk inside the hotel. We head up to our hotel room and Jason unlocks the door.

We walk in and Spencer looks around for a place to sit down. "Where should I lay down at?" Spencer asks and I lead him over to the bed I've be using while here and he look at me even more confused.

"You can lay down here. Are you hungry?" He nods and Jason walks into the kitchen. "Are you allergic to anything?"

"No." He says and I look back at Jason, who nods and starts to work on making him a few sandwiches. "Where will the other one of you sleep?" He asks.

"The other bed or the couch. Depends on when we head to bed." He nods just as Jason walks in with a plate containing two sandwiches, a small bag of chips, and a cookie.

"I don't know what you want to drink with this, is there anything you would prefer?" Jason asks.

"Water is fine. Thank you." Spencer says and Jason goes to get him a glass of water before returning and handing it to him.

I walk over to my travel bag and grab the case file we received and sit on the other bed. "David put the file away." Jason says and Spencer continues to eat the food he was given.
