Chapter 10: Panorama

The group chat was lively as always. This time, Yuri was inside the group chat as well. For that reason, I get notifications every hour. I eventually put my phone on silent for awhile. It has already been a week since the summer holidays started. Chaewon and I are watching dramas in the living room together, lazing around.

" Did you read the texts? "

" Nah. "

" I knew it. "

" What's wrong? "

Chaewon proceeded to explain that the girls wanted to go have a picnic by the river today. She asked if I wanted to come along with them. I nodded my head in agreement and she was overjoyed to see my response. She immediately sent a text to the group chat and the both of us prepared ourselves for the outing.

I came out of my room with my favourite white shirt and beige pants. I adjusted my hat while facing the mirror. I knocked on Chaewon's door to let her know that I am prepared for the day. She opened the door and I looked at her entire outfit. Once again, we were coincidentally matching with each other.

" Woah, we seem like a couple! "

" Wait wha- "

" I'm kidding! "

She was blushing as well. Her face was practically red from all that teasing. We went to wear our shoes and headed to our destination. While walking casually, Chaewon saw Minju and Yuri sneaking around us. I don't think they knew that we noticed them hiding at the pillars nearby.

" Should we leave them like that? "

" Yeah, let's just go ahead. "

" Okay then. "

We continued walking whilst acting like we did not notice their presence at all. Chaewon and I were having fun playing around with them. We suddenly stopped in our tracks and walked towards them. We could clearly see them panicking and they eventually showed themselves.

" Aw, you knew? "

" Yep! "

" I told you that we were too obvious! "

We laughed amongst ourselves and I helped to carry the things that Minju was carrying around. She felt relieved when I lifted the bag from her shoulders. She started running around and Yuri followed behind her. It's safe to assume that they are best friends now. They ran towards the river while Chaewon and I walked at a steady pace.

To my surprise, Yena was already waiting for the four of us. She had already prepared the picnic mat with the food as well. We were all in awe as we looked at the scenery before us. Luckily, I brought an umbrella and two pairs of sunglasses. I gave one to Chaewon and wore one myself.

" Thanks, Y/N! "

" You're welcome. "

" You guys are too cute. "
