Chapter 31: Circles

The credit card that Yena gave me was still at the back of my mind. I have been thinking about what to do with it for days. Even Chaewon was speechless when I told her about it. I called Yena once more for reassurance. She nonchalantly told me that I could literally spend on anything.

" What should I do... "

" Hmm... "

" Wait, maybe I could use this card for Chaewon's present! "

Ever since I told Chaewon that I would build a PC for her, I have been saving up the allowance that Yena keeps giving me each month. Now that she gave me this credit card, maybe I should order the parts in secret. The problem is, I do not know how to use online delivery. I need to call Minju.

" Good morning, you two! "

" Ah, Minju! "

" You scared me, Minmin. "

Chaewon was startled by Minju's sudden appearance. Luckily for Minju, Chaewon has made extra food for her. We all sat down on the dining table and ate breakfast together. It reminds me of our time spent in school with just the three of us. Very nostalgic indeed.

" Y/N, what are you buying- "

" Shush, Minju! "

" Did something happen? "

" N-no, Chaewonie! "

Chaewon squinted her eyes and looked at me with suspicion. I glanced at Minju and she looked away from me, still eating her food. My plans were almost busted!

" It's okay, I know what you're talking about. "

" W-what do you mean...? "

" I did nothing wrong~~ "

I could not tell if Chaewon was actually telling the truth. However, she was uncontrollably smiling and trying to keep a poker face. I made eye contact with Minju and we shared the same thought. She was definitely faking it. I decided to "fall" for it and revealed my plans to get a reaction from her.

" Fine, you got me. "

" It worked! "

" What do you mean? "

" N-nothing! "

Chaewon turned her eyes away from me and pumped her fist under the table. She probably could not tell that I noticed her doing all that. It would be best if I let her be. Her reactions are always the cutest sight to me.

" Well, remember the PC that I promised you? "

" What about it? "

" Minju and I wanted to help you build one with this card that Yena noona gave to me. "

" Woah, she purposely hid it from me! "

Minju pouted and crossed her arms. I assured her that I would buy something for her as well which caused her to be back to her energetic self. As soon as we finished up our breakfast, the three of us did our research and bought the parts online. It seemed like Chaewon wants to play tons of games once she gets her own PC.

" ᴵ ᵗʰᵒᵘᵍʰᵗ ˢʰᵉ ˢᵘᶜᵏᵉᵈ ᵃᵗ ᵍᵃᵐᶦⁿᵍ. "

" That's kinda harsh, Minju... "

" I heard that, Minmin! "

" ...And I'm out! "

I locked Minju in the same room as Chaewon and heard her crying in despair, begging me to open the door. I felt bad for Minju after hearing her suffer from Chaewon's wrath. She probably got tickled to death. I opened the door to see Minju on the floor, forming tears in her eyes. I faced Chaewon and she sent shivers down my spine with that glare of hers. Scary...
