You watched as the boys giggled and play-fought as you all surrounded a small campfire. Some type of exotic bird meat was cooking over it. Peter was in a tall tree, watching for 'those dirty sea dogs' as he put it.

You weren't entirely sure how you felt about the pirates. On one hand it was scary that you could be attacked out of nowhere. Not to mention the pirate you'd caught spying on you earlier.

On the other hand everything felt like a fairytale. From the mermaids, to Peter's flying it seemed so magical. There were a few stories about, or including, pirates in your book of stories. The thing that made you most uneasy was the reputation of pirates being cruel and selfish. Stealing gold and attacking ships for the fun of it.

Just as the food was almost done you made up your mind to ask Peter if he could help you train with a weapon. Like the dagger he carried or the handmade bows and arrows some of the boys had. That way, if you ever somehow met that pirate again, you could defend yourself.
