Landon watched as Ryojin left and then walked over to Daehyun and bent down beside him, "Hi Hyun-ah, are you hungry?"

Daehyun nodded before mumbling something with his small, chubby hand in his mouth.

Babies are so cute, Landon thought with a smile, "You remind me of Leah when he was first adopted." he said in English even though the small child couldn't understand him.

It didn't matter though, the statement wasn't for Daehyun anyways; it was just Landon thinking aloud.

Landon picked up Daehyun and carried him to the kitchen, sitting the chubby child down in his high chair.

"Hyun-ah, does your dad feed you only Korean foods?" Landon sighed, looking through the cabinets to find foods he had no clue how to make.

Daehyun answered with a babble, saliva seeped from his lips and rolled down to his chin as he smiled a toothy grin.

Landon chuckled softly as he shook his head, "Why am I asking a baby questions?" he walked back over to Daehyun and sat in the chair beside him.

"...to-" Daehyun mumbled something which was muffled from Landon's ears because of Daehyun chewing on his tiny fingers.

"Hyun-ah, you can speak?" Landon asked surprised as he waited for the oatmeal to cook, "Well, maybe it's normal, I'm not sure exactly which age babies should start speaking."

Landon reached into his pocket to grab his phone to search up that exact fact when he realized his phone was missing, "Shit, it's probably in Daehyun's room." Landon went to leave the kitchen but Daehyun started crying.

The small brunet whined loudly as he held out his arms for Landon, "Mommy!" he cried.

"I-" Landon was surprised as he rushed back over to Daehyun to try and calm him by picking up the baby.

"So you can say some words." Landon said thoughtfully before sighing, but I don't want him to call me mommy- I'm a guy.

He contemplated having Daehyun call him 'Landon' but he couldn't figure out how to translate it to Korean in a way the baby would be able to pronounce so Landon decided to use a temporary title; knowing Daehyun would soon forget to call him that.

Landon lifted Daehyun up and propped the child onto his hip, "Can you say papa?" he asked in a soft voice, bouncing the small baby slowly.

Daehyun rubbed the tears away from his eyes with his fists balled up before looking at Landon, his bottom lip quivering, "Mommy!"
