Landon shrugged as he climbed out of the car, but luckily for him, Ryojin was already walking up to the restaurant so he didn't notice.

Why am I still so scared of shrugging? It's not like he'd hit me...right? Landon mentally questioned, joining Ryojin just as the older man sighed.

"What's the matter?" Landon asked, furrowing his eyebrows before looking at the diner door.

"Closed. Indefinitely." Ryojin read aloud before rubbing his brow with his fingers and sighing.

Landon chewed on his bottom lip as he thought of another place to go, do we have to go out for it to be a date?

"How about...we have a picnic?" Landon turned to Ryojin with a convincing smile, "We could go get Daehyun and have a picnic in the park."

Ryojin caught Landon's infectious smile and he nodded softly, "I like that idea. Let's go." he motioned back towards the car.

Landon kneeled down and cleared away the small sticks and pokey pieces of grass from the meadowy area before laying down a blanket.

Ryojin joined him, holding Daehyun's hand as the small child slowly waddled to the blanketed ground.

"Careful Hyun-ah," Landon said in a soft voice, catching Daehyun as he plopped onto the blanket probably assuming it was soft.

"He's okay. Babies get hurt sometimes, it's natural." Ryojin reassured Landon as he frantically checked Daehyun's legs to make sure they weren't red or bruised.

Landon calmed down once he heard Ryojin's words, "Sorry, I'm being paranoid." he shook his head, of course Ryojin was right; this wasn't his first kid afterall.

Ryojin simply watched Landon sit Daehyun down on the blanket with loving eyes, Why is he worried about being a good parent? He's doing perfect.

"Can Daehyun eat a sandwich, does he have enough teeth?" Landon asked curiously as he opened the reusable shopping bag they brought with them filled with foods.

Ryojin nodded, "If he gets it in smaller pieces he can bite into it." he grabbed a storage container of fresh chopped vegetables, "Here, give him a carrot."

Landon's eyes went wide as he handed Daehyun a small piece of the orange vegetable, "Babies can have carrots?" he asked, astonished.

Ryojin chuckled softly, "They're not newborns, after a few months babies can have most solid foods. Daehyun-ah loves carrots too."

"Is that why you call him Tokki?" Landon responded in a low voice, more focused on watching Daehyun chew on the carrot vigorously than keep a conversation with Ryojin.

"Yes, do you know why I call you Cookie?" Ryojin asked, offering Landon a grape as he popped one into his own mouth.

Landon was gifted a small burst of courage and decided to run with it, leaning forwards and eating the round fruit right from Ryojin's fingers as he slowly shook his head.

Ryojin was momentarily taken aback and he almost forgot the question he'd just asked.
"When we met..." he fought the urge to attack Landon's soft pink lips, "you said you were chasing a bird. It reminded me of 'Polly want a cracker' so I nicknamed you cookie."

Landon blushed as he bit his bottom lip, "I always thought it was you making fun of my freckles or something." he shook his head with a small laugh.

Ryojin reached over and cupped Landon's chin, staring into the 20-year-old's silver eyes, "Can I kiss you?" he asked in a low voice.

Don't panic, don't panic, don't panic... Landon whispered mentally as he nodded, leaning forward as Ryojin pulled his face closer; also using his hand to cover Daehyun's eyes.

The kiss was slow and short, yet sweet and filled with all the emotions they couldn't say. Each small touch of their lips whispered 'I love you' to the other pair.

"...Daddy" Daehyun babbled softly, reaching up to pull on Ryojin's fingers; attempting to get them away from in front of his eyes.

Landon was the first to pull away, laughing at Ryojin's reaction to getting wet pieces of carrots on his hand.

"Tokki, you really do know how to bring all the attention to yourself in each moment." Ryojin grumbled quietly, wiping his hand clean with a wet wipe.

Daehyun had no clue what was said since he's a baby and barely knew any English, and instead busied himself by reaching back and pulling up two handfuls of grass.

Landon was quick to grab the baby's hands before he tried to eat the forbidden veggies, "Hyun-ah no, it's not food." he calmly scolded him.

Once the grass blades were removed from Daehyun's hands, the miniature brunet pulled Landon's hair as he laid back in the grass.

"Ow-" fuck! Landon stopped himself just short of yelling the curse word out loud as he fell on the floor beside Daehyun.

Ryojin chuckled teasingly at the sight, watching as Landon tried to pry his hair away from Daehyun's chubby grip.

Is he seriously laughing instead of helping me- Landon decided to seek revenge, grabbing Ryojin's nape and pulling him down to the grass with them.

Ryojin let out a surprised grunt as he fell against the hard ground, shooting Landon a look that said 'You'll pay for that.'

Daehyun stayed laying on the grass, holding Landon's hair so the young adult couldn't sit up at all as the baby slowly fell asleep.

"I think he's sleeping." Landon whispered after what was probably 20 minutes laying there.

Ryojin leaned forward and helped Landon remove Daehyun's hair before putting small mittens on the small child's hands so he couldn't scratch his face while sleeping.

"We should probably get going. Is he allergic to grass 'cause it probably wasn't a good idea to let him lay here for so long and..." Landon said, packing the left out food back into the bag.

"Cookie," Ryojin called to him, still laying beside a sleeping Daehyun, "you're rambling, just come lay back down. It's okay."

Landon sighed, he's right...I always do this when I'm nervous.
He laid back down on the other side of Daehyun, who was now sucking on his pacifier while sleeping.

Ryojin reached his arm out and wrapped it around Landon's waist, slowly tapping his fingers softly; giving the younger man butterflies.

Landon watched, with love in his heart, as Ryojin softly kissed Daehyun's head.

I could get used to this...
