We made our way down to the kitchen / dining room. The dining room was basically in the kitchen or just off to the side of it anyway.

When we got there, practically everyone was gathered in the dining room having there own conversation amongst each other while Wanda finished up the last few bits in the kitchen.

I got a little overwhelmed by all the people in here at once. I shuffled closer to Bucky and clung on to his arm a little tighter. He glanced down at me and saw the panicked expression spread across my face. He seemed to notice my uncomfortableness as he squeezed my hand tighter in his for comfort.

"You okay doll?" He whispered in my ear as he leant down. I looked up at him and nodded slowly. "Come on you lot, foods ready." I heard from someone in the kitchen. I looked over and saw a woman with a friendly look on her face, she had light brown hair, it looked almost red. She had a soft smile plastered on her face. That must we Wanda.

"Come on doll" Bucky said and he gently tugged on my hand to get me moving. I followed him to the dining table, still clung to his side. He pulled out a chair for me, and sat down next to me as I sat down.

I watched as everyone got there plates of food. Bucky handed my mine. I thanked him quietly with a shy smile forced on my face. People started talking to each other yet again. My hand instantly darted to Buckys thigh for comfort. He grabbed hold of my hand under the table. "It's okay doll, don't worry" he reassured me.

I went to let go of his hand so he could eat, but he softly tightened his grip on my hand. He carefully lent down to my ear "you don't have to let go if you don't want to" he said quietly, but loud enough for me to hear. I peered up at him and gave him a thankful smile.

"So y/n," Tony began, "you've met cap. And I believe you've met Nat and Sam?" He questioned. I peak over at him still clinging onto Bucky and nod shyly in agreement. "Well this is Wanda, she's magic" he pointed to the woman who spoke before. "This is Clint, he's good with arrows." He points to another man with a friendly smile.

"This is Peter, he's a spider" he points to a younger looking boy, i furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "I- I'm not a spider, I'm spiderman. I got bit by a spider, long story, I have the powers of a spider" the boy, Peter, said rather rushed. I gave him a quick nod as confirmation that I understood. "This is Bruce, he turns green when he's angry" he pointed to a rather timid looking man, he gave me a quick smile in which I returned as best i could.

"This is Thor, he's the god of lightning." Tony continued. "Thunder" another man corrected. "I am the god of thunder. Not lighting." The man confirmed. He had fairly blonde/light brown hair. "Yeah whatever" Tony responded. "And that guy next to him is his brother, Loki, he's the god of mischief" tony finished as he pointed to a man with fairly long black hair. He had a playful expression across his face.

They all said there hellos to me in which I responded with a shy, friendly smile. I didn't care for attention much. It made me feel awkward, I'd rather just be ignored and left to my own thoughts. I didn't verbally say hello, I only really felt comfortable talking to Bucky. I used to get punished in hydra for speaking out of context, or without being told to do so. I just kind of tend to avoid it now.

"So y/n," Loki began, "how do you know Bucky?" I glanced up at him, then my eyes darted around the table quickly, noticing a few other people looking my way wanting to know the answer as well. My gaze finally landed back on Loki "um" I started to say. I began to panic slightly, I looked next to me at Bucky who also seemed to notice the others looking. He squeezed my hand gently. "Hydra" Bucky finished for me.

Most people gave an accepting nod, realising I probably don't want to talk about it, their thoughts would be correct. I most definitely do not want to talk about it. Any of it.

Loki, however, didn't seem to want to accept it like everyone else. His gaze stayed on me making me slightly uncomfortable, I just stayed looking down at the table. I could feel his eyes still glaring at me. I shifted about a little in my seat, wishing I could just disappear right about now.

"How long were you in hydra for?" Loki carried on saying. I noticed almost everyone stopped talking to listen in on the conversation, I assumed they either wanted to know the answer to Loki's question as well or they wanted to see where it would go. I look up to Bucky for help yet again.

"I don't think that's important at the moment Loki." Bucky replied for me again. "Why do you keep answering for her barnes, she can speak can she not?" Loki asked, a smirk forming on his face. "Just because she can speak doesn't mean she has to. She's been through enough can you just leave her alone?" Bucky questions him. "Let her talk for herself barnes. I asked the girl not you." Loki dropped his gaze down to me. "I-" I began. I couldn't form a sentence, hell I couldn't even form a word properly. My eyes darted around the table, internally begging to disappear.

"Jesus Christ, leave her alone Loki, can't you see she obviously doesn't want to talk about it. Your scaring the poor girl. Leave her be." Nat spoke up. She must have sensed how uncomfortable I was at this moment in time. We briefly made eye contact and I gave her a thankful smile.

"Will everyone stop talking for her! I'm trying to have a conversation here" Loki stated raising his voice slightly, I jumped a little. I gave a quick glance around hoping no one noticed. His gaze never leaving me, even though I had my eyes facing the table not wanting to look up.

"Enough brother, listen to the others, she will talk when se is ready. Now is clearly not the time nor place" Thor interrupted, quickly coming to my rescue. Loki remained quiet, although I could still sense his sight lingering on me.

I looked up from the table after everyone started there own conversation again. I made eye contact with Loki for a few seconds until we both pulled our gaze away from each other.

I was done with my food, Bucky only gave me a little bit because he knew our eating habits from hydra and he knew I ate upstairs. I only managed to eat a tiny bit of it, I suppose the added stress didn't help my appetite.

I felt bad leaving so much food, but I physically couldn't eat anymore. Bucky seemed to pick up on how I was feeling because he flashed his sight down at me. He leaned towards me and said "you don't have to eat it all doll, it's okay, no one will mind if you leave some". His voice was so soft and calming. I sat my fork down on my plate and slumped back in my chair, I had one hand across my stomach and the other still intertwined with Buckys.

Soon enough everyone else started to do the same as me, place there forks down indicating they were also finished with the food. I will admit wanda is a brilliant cook. Saying that anything had to be better than the crap hydra fed us.

After everyone was finished, Nat started to gather up the plates and tidy up, while everyone else went into the living room together. I pulled Nat aside and asked if she'd like me to help. She assured me it was fine and to go into the living room with the others and she's join soon. I nodded in acceptance.

I quickly scurried back to  Bucky and locked my hand in place with his once again. He didn't let go of my hand once the whole way through dinner, only when I went and spoke to Nat.

We walked into the living room and found a seat on one of the empty couches. Bucky sat by the arm of the couch. I sat on the middle seat, well, not really I sat squashed up to Buckys side practically sharing his seat.

Nat joined us not so long after we all got settled. She came and sat at the other end of the couch me and Bucky were sharing. I didn't mind so much. I liked Nat, I'd only spoke to her twice plus she stood up for me at dinner. So from the interactions we've had so far, I like her.
