CHAPTER FOUR WINNER
"This is so wizard, Ani. I'm sure you'll do it this time." One of Anakin and Rae's friends said
"Do what?" Padme questioned
"Finish the race, of course." He said in a 'duh' tone
"You've never won a race?" Padme asked Anakin
"Well, not exactly." Anakin shrugged
"Not even finished?" Anakin wrapped his arm around his friend
"Kipster's right, I will this time." Anakin said positively as Qui-Gon walked up behind them
"Of course you will." Rae assured her best friend

If was the day of the Pod Race and Rae sat in the crowd with Anakin's mum ready to cheer him on.
"And a late entry, young Anakin Skywalker." The commentator said through the mega phone, Rae cheered for her best friend as Anakin got his Pod sorted and ready to race
Anakin sat in his Pod getting ready for his signal to go, Rae held Shmi's hand to comfort her.
"Start your engines." The commentator announced, everyone started their engines, Rae sighed
"Please, be ok, Ani.." Rae whispered to herself
"And they're off!" The commentator said as everyone took off, Anakin's Pod stopped as soon as it started
"Oh no.." Rae whispered to herself looking towards Qui-Gon
"Come on, Ani!" Jar Jar cheered
"He's not going anywhere anytime soon." Rae stated before Anakin took off, Rae cheered with Jar Jar
Anakin made it to the finish line, he came first place, Rae ran over to him and hugged him tightly.
"I knew you could do it!" Rae said cheerfully
Padme walked over and hugged him next "we owe you everything, Ani." Shmi gave him a kiss on the cheek

Rae heard Anakin, Qui-Gon and Shmi talking, she hid behind the wall and ears dropped in on the conversation.
"Will you take him with you?" Shmi asked Qui-Gon "Is he to become a Jedi?"
"Yes." Qui-Gon answered "our meeting was not a coincidence. Nothing happens by accident."
"You mean I get to come with you in your starship?" Anakin asked cheerfully, Rae's face dropped, Anakin was gonna leave her alone on tattooine.
"Anakin.." Qui-Gon kneeled down to his level "training to become a Jedi is not an easy challenge, and even if you succeed, it's a hard life."
"But I wanna go. It's what I've always dreamed of doing." Anakin argued before turning to his mum "can I go, mum?"
"Anakin, this path has been placed before you. The choice is yours alone."
"I wanna do it." Anakin nodded his head eagerly
"Then pack your things. We haven't much time." Anakin smiled before his face quickly dropped
"What about Rae? It's her dream to become a Jedi as well..and I can't leave her behind, she's my best friend." Rae's frown turned into a smile at those words
"Then tell her to pack her things." Qui-Gon smiled
