CHAPTER TEN INTRUDERS
"And besides, you're generalising." Rae told her master "the chancellor doesn't appear to be corrupt."
"Palpatine is a politician." Obi-wan reasoned "I have observed that he is very clever in following the passions and the prejudices of the senators."
"I think he's a good man." Anakin spoke, obi-wan went to reply but was cut off went they heard a noise, Anakin and Rae looked at Obi-wan
"I sense it too." The three quickly ran towards the sound which led them to Padme's room
The three ignited their lightsabers, waking Padme up from her slumber, as they ran into the room and killed the creatures that were crawling on Padme.
Obi-wan jumped out the window Anakin and Rae looked at each other in confusion.
"Sorry, Padme." Rae quickly apologised before they followed him quickly
"Quick! Get in!" Anakin instructed Rae as they ran to his speeder, Rae did as told and climbed into the back of the speeder "keep an eye out for Master Kenobi." Anakin said looking back at Rae who saluted, Anakin smiled before turning back around.
"Anakin!" Rae pointed to a small figure falling from the sky, Anakin swooped under the person and caught him in the speeder.
"What took you so long?" Obi-wan questioned
"Oh, you know, master...I couldn't find a speeder that I really liked." Anakin replied sarcastically
"There he is." Obi-wan said pointing forward towards another speeder
"With the open cockpit and the right speed capabilities." Anakin rambled
"If you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you do your wit, you would rival Master Yoda as a swordsman." Rae leaned forward
"I thought he already did." Obi-wan turned to his sister
"Only in your mind, my very young apprentice." Anakin shot towards the ground worrying obi-wan "pull up Anakin! Pull up!" Anakin replied with a laugh as Rae rolled her eyes at his silliness
"Anakin, stop being a dick." Rae warned
"You're no fun." Anakin groaned pulling up from the ground, Obi-wan sighed in relief
"You know I don't like it when you do that. If Rae wasn't here we'd probably be dead."
"Sorry, Master. I forgot you don't like flying."
"I don't mind flying."
"But what you're doing is suicide." Rae added as a bullet got shot at them, Anakin quickly dodged out of the way
"Where are you going? He went that way." Obi-wan stated as Anakin drove the opposite way
"Master, if we keep this chase going any longer, that creep is gonna end up deep-fried, and personally I'd very much like to find out who he is and who he's working for." Anakin mentioned "This is a shortcut. I think."
"You think? Or you know?" Rae questioned, Anakin looked at her "oh great, we're gonna die!" Rae exclaimed gripping onto her seat

"Well, you've lost him." Obi-wan stated once they came to a sudden stop
"I'm deeply sorry, Master." Anakin apologised
"That was some shortcut, Anakin." Obi-wan said sarcastically "next time, Rae's driving. He went completely the other way! Once again you've proved—"
"If you'll excuse me." Anakin said cutting Obi-wan off before jumping out of the pod
"Ani!" Rae yelled out in worry and she leaned over the edge of the pod
"I hate it when he does that." Obi-wan muttered
"Me too, Master." Rae agreed making Obi-wan jump
"I forgot you were here." Obi-wan admitted making Rae roll her eyes before jumping into the drivers seat and starting to drive, Obi-wan gripped onto his seat "remind me to teach you both how to fly this thing."
Suddenly, Anakin's lightsaber came flying towards the pod, Obi-wan jumped up and grabbed it quickly before placing it down into the compartment next to him.
Rae landed the pod before following Obi-wan after Anakin.
"Anakin!" Obi-wan called out once they caught up with Anakin
"She went into the club, Master." Anakin spoke urgently
"Patience. Use the force. Think." Obi-wan informed calmly
"Sorry, Master." Anakin apologised
"He went in there to hide, not to run." Obi-wan continued
"Yes, Master." Anakin nodded
"Next time, try not to lose it." Obi-wan said showing Anakin his lightsaber
"Yes, Master." Anakin nodded again
"This weapon is your life." Obi-wan said handing Anakin his lightsaber
"I try, Master." Anakin sighed as Obi-wan walked away, Anakin looked at the ground in shame
"You know, I was really worried about you.." Rae admitted making Anakin look back at her with a smirk
"You were?" Anakin questioned
"Yeah, I mean, you're my...best friend." Rae shrugged making both her and Anakin's faces drop
"Rae, Ani, come on!" Obi-wan called out to them, they looked at each other quickly before following their master "why do I get the feeling that you guys are gonna be the death of me?"
"Don't say that, Master." Anakin begged
"You're the closest thing I have to a father." Rae added, Obi-wan looked at his sister
"Then why won't you listen to me?" Obi-wan questioned
"I am trying." Rae sighed deeply as she looked around the club
"Can you see him?" Obi-wan asked looking around
"I think he is a she.." Anakin stated, Obi-wan and Rae turned to look at Anakin "and I think she is a changeling."
"In that case, be extra careful." Obi-wan looked around again "go and find her." Obi-wan started to walk away
"Where are you going, Master?" Rae asked, Obi-wan turned to her
"For a drink." Obi-wan walked to the bar as Anakin and Rae walked the opposite direction to look for the changeling
Their hunt was cut short when they heard the sound of a lightsaber and small groans, they walked back over to Obi-wan as he helped the changeling stand up.
"Easy. Jedi business. Go back to your drinks." Anakin told the people that were watching the scene unfold
