CHAPTER TWENTY BAD FEELINGS
Rae flinched as a heavy blast hit the side of her jet, "Shit, I'm gonna die." Rae mumbled to herself before she heard Anakin's voice over her earpiece.
"Master, General Grievous' ship is directly ahead—the one crawling with vulture droids." Anakin stated.
"Oh, I see it. Oh, this is going to be easy." Obi-wan said almost sarcastically.
"Tell me, why do we always find ourselves in these situations?" Rae asked as she dodged a blast making Anakin chuckle.
"This is where the fun begins." Anakin smirked.
"Let them pass between us." Obi-wan instructed before a slight muffle could be heard over the earpiece.
"I'm gonna go help them out." Anakin said.
"No." Obi-wan denied immediately, "they are doing their job so we can do ours."
Rae's eyes widened when she noticed something flying towards them, "Missiles. Pull up." Rae instructed allowing them to pull up just in time before they got demolished.
"I'm hit!" Obi-wan exclaimed, "Anakin? Rae?"
"I see them. Buzz droids." Anakin answered.
"They're shutting down all the controls." Obi-wan panicked.
"Move to the right so I can get a clear shot at them." Anakin instructed, Obi-wan doing as told.
"The mission! Get to the command ship. Get to the chancellor. I'm running out of tricks here!" Obi-wan commanded before Anakin blasted the Buzz Droids, "hold your fire! You're not helping here."
"I agree. Bad idea." Rae nodded.
"I can't see a thing. My cockpits fogging. They're all over me." Obi-wan exclaimed.
"Move to the right." Anakin instructed.
"Hold on, Anakin. You're gonna get us both killed." Obi-wan rolled his eyes, "get out of here. There's nothing more you can do."
"I'm not leaving without you, Master." Anakin stated as some Buzz Droids landed on Rae's jet.
"Shoot." Rae mumbled.
"Rae?" Anakin asked, "what happened?"
"I've been hit." Rae answered.
"Hold on!" Anakin exclaimed before blasting the Buzz Droids away making her jet go unsteady for a second.
Rae sighed in relief, "Thanks, Ani." Rae smiled.
"Anytime, my love." Anakin smiled, "the generals command ship is dead ahead."
"Well, have you noticed the shields are still up?" Obi-wan questioned.
"Sorry, Master." Anakin apologised.
"Oh, I have a bad feeling about this." Rae mumbled before they landed in the command ship immediately jumping out of their keys to attack some droids.
"R2, locate the chancellor." Obi-wan instructed once all the droids were taken out, "the chancellors signal is coming from right there — the observation platform at the top of that spire."
"I sense Count Dooku." Anakin stated.
"I sense a trap." Rae spoke.
"Next move?" Anakin asked.
"I say, spring the trap." Rae shrugged, Anakin nodded before turning towards R2.
"R2, go back. I need you to stay with the ship." Anakin told R2.
"Here. Take this and wait for orders." Obi-wan said handing a walky talky to R2.
