A/n I might do a part 2 if I can think of one.

I sat outside McDonald's eating my lunch before I start my 12 hour shift at the Miami General Hospital. 12 hours is a long and sometimes slow shift,but being one of the head doctors I was mostly the first to be called in when others couldn't make there shift. It was during one of the 12 hour shifts that I had met my current boyfriend, well that was three years ago.

Back then we where only friends, but as time went on we grew closer and now we are in a relationship. You see my boyfriend is a CSI with the MDPD Crime Lab,well he is the head csi- LT Horatio Caine to be exact. We met during one of his routine check ups at the hospital that all the team had to undergo. The only thing being is the rest of H's team has yet to know about our relationship.

My best friend and co worker knows but no one else,Adam was there when I first met H. Speaking of my boyfriend, he just sat down in front of me
"I didn't think you where coming today" I say
"When did I say that?" H asks me
"Err...you didn't" I admit,taking a drink of my milkshake
"You really shouldn't eat so much junk food,especially in your line of work" H tells me
"Ever the sensible one" I tease.

"One of us has to be" H says smiling
"True,anyway its time I should be heading to work" I say standing up
"Care for some company?" H asks also standing up
"Hmm do I want company from a handsome CSI? Is that a trick question?" I ask playfully
"Not at all" H says, the two of us head off down the road towards the hospital. On the way I take ahold of H's hand that is closets to me
"When do you next have time off work?" H asks as we walk
"Next week,I've got the whole week off" I tell him"Why do you ask?"

"We should do something that week,just the two of us" H explained
"Wait a moment, you actually want to take time off work" I ask shocked" Are you feeling OK?"
"I'm perfectly fine sweetheart" H says looking down at me" we haven't exactly had that much alone time recently"
"You do make a valid point good Sir" I tell him,we arrive at the hospital and I see H's hummer parked outside
"When can I drive that truck?"
"When you get a license."

Time skip No's one POV

A few hours have passed and Horatio and Eric are currently talking to a suspect by the name of Ryder O'Neill, the guy is trying to be cocky with them. Ryder is trying to make a deal for his information
"So you see,you want my information I get something in return" Ryder says smug
"We don't make deals with criminals" Eric tells him
"Are you sure" Ryder asks again
"No deal" H says standing up,he goes to leave but Ryder says.

"Too bad I guess I will just have to pay Y/n a visit" Horatio stops by the door and turns back around, as Eric wonder who this Y/n is and what she has to do with anything
"You stay away from her" H says angry
"You give me what I want and I stay away its that simple" Ryder says arrogant, H walks back over to the table and drags Ryder up from his seat and shoves him against the wall.

"H" Eric says not used to this behavior from his boss
"Stay the hell away from Y/n or I will kill you myself" H says
"She is a pretty thing,I think we could get together after her work" Ryder says laughing only for his laughter to be cut short,when H's fist connects with his jaw. Before H could hit Ryder again,Eric pulls him back.

"H calm down" Eric says
"Get him out of my sight" H says to Frank who had come to see what was going on. With Ryder gone Eric says to H
"What was that all about?" Only H doesn't answer, he walks straight out of the room and heads out of the lab and to his hummer and then headed to the hospital.

Y/n's P.O.V

I sat in my office doing my best friend Adam's review when the phone on my desk rang
"Yeah" I say
"Er Dr L/n there is a man here to see you" Sam the receptionist says
"I need more info than that Sam" I say
"Tall,black suit,wears sunglasses indoors..." Sam lists
"Send him this way" I say knowing who was here to see me,I put the phone back down.

"What was that about?" Adam asks me
"For some reason Horatio is here" I tell him,I had just finished speaking when the door opens and H walks in
"We need to talk,in private" H tells me
"We can finish my review later" Adam says standing up and leaving the room. Once the door closed behind Adam,I say
"What's going on,why aren't you at work?"

"Do you know Ryder O'Neill?" H asks taking off his sunglasses
"He used to be a nurse here,we where sort of friends" I tell him"I got him fired about six months ago when I caught him stealing the drugs "
"Does he know where you live?" H asks standing in front of my desk
"Yes why?" I ask
"I arrested him not to long ago and he mentioned paying you a visit" H tells me.
"Don't tell me,you punched him" I ask

"That's not the point" H says " How does he know about our relationship? "I don't know, I never told him anything" I say standing up and walking around my desk to stand in front of H
"I don't want you to get hurt"
"That's sweet of you Horatio, but I'm perfectly safe here" I tell him" We have CCTV and security that works 24/7"

"I don't want you to go home alone" H says
"Then what Lieutenant do you suggest?" I ask placing my hands onto his chest
"When your shift is over come straight to the lab,don't stay over time" H tells me
"I can do that" I say
"This is serious Y/n" H says moving some hair back from my face.

"I tell you what I will come here with Adam,we never filled a police report on Ryder for taking those drugs" I suggest
"How much do you trust Adam? H asks me
"We have known each other since we where five years old" I tell him
"That's not what I meant" H says
"I trust Adam with my life"
"Good" H says.

"You do know that when you get back to the lab,there will he plenty of questions for you to answer" I tell him
"What for?" H asks
"Well you disappeared from work in the middle of your shift with no explanation as to why" I say
"There is that" H admits " I'm certain Eric would have told someone what went on and how I reacted when you where mentioned "
"Yeah they might have an idea about who I am" I say
"If they don't ask me when I get back,they will certainly want to know when they see you later" H says

"Yeah,this is not how I planned on meeting your friends" I admit
"Wait you always say you never plan anything?" H asks
"You know what I mean though" I say
"Of course I do sweetheart" H says smiling. I'm certain Ryder O'Neill was bluffing when he talked about me,but I won't take that risk and H certainly won't either,I mean what harm can he do he's in a police station?
