Chapter 17

ATHANASIA

The dance for the 14-year-olds ended but I still haven't seen them. I secretly smiled but that smile faded when I couldn't see Dad.

Did Lucas fail?

No. It's impossible.

"Princess," Felix called me. I tried to smile as he approached me.

"Where's Dad?" I asked him.

"He's with some nobles. Don't worry. He will come back soon," Felix reassured me. He then asked me to dance. I immediately agree and I am sure that he will immediately regret asking me for a dance.

This is quite embarrasing, I hope no one ask me for a dance. Felix is looking sad after our dance. I assured him that I also stepped on Dad's foot. I guess he feel a lot better because of confession but yes it is quite embarassing if I step in other noble's foot.

I wish Lucas is here. I wanted to dance with him, at least I am comfortable when it comes to him. But he's busy and I gave him a job, which he truly enjoys.

"Who are you looking for?" I almost jumped when I heard someone familiar spoke behind me.

"Lucas!" I exclaimed. Right, he's here.

"You probably miss me so much," he smirked.

"How about them?" I asked as he grab my right hand and lead me to the dance floor. I didn't complain, although I can hear everyone whispering. I wonder what kind of rumor will spread because of this?

"What do you think of me?" He smirked again.

"You're right," I smiled again. I guess, I can finally enjoy the rest of the night.

Suddenly I felt something strange and when I looked on the corner of the hall I saw Dad looking at us.

That must be the strange feeling, he's looking at us with a deathly stare or rather he's looking at Lucas.

"Let him be," Lucas whispered. He's enjoying this huh. He seemed to hate Dad—I mean he hates everyone.

"Dad probably wants to dance," I said laughing.

"I don't think so. After steeping on his foot," he said. He's teasing me and it's annoying. Come to think of it. I haven't step on Lucas' foot.

"Lucas. I haven't step on your foot," I whispered.

"Who knows," he smirked. That's strange.

The dance ended without me stepping on Lucas foot. I still find it strange but atleast I didn't hurt him unlike Dad and Felix. I am feeling tired and I don't want to dance so I ran towards Dad.

"Dad!" I called him.

He glared at Lucas then smiled at me. He patted my head.

"Did you enjoy dancing with him?" He asked, his expression seemed strange too.

"Of course Dad but you are the best," I answered.

This night will end soon. And I am tired. I decides to tell Dad that I want to home. His reaction of course wasn't good. He thought someone is making rude remarks. I have to stop him from killing everyone.

Anyway. It is a good debutante.
