CHAPTER NINE,
SAPPHIRE

@-maniacal-

The (E/C) eyed teen fluttered her lashes as she regained her sight. Suddenly, she cocked her head to the right at the too familiar sound of Midoriya's cries. Everyone had seemingly been divided into groups for some reason. (Y/N) continued to glance around for some hint at what had occurred or at least who she was with.

Arching a brow she glanced around, locking eyes with an equally confused tailed guy. "What happened?" Her lips parted to answer.

Until someone had beaten her to it. "Thanks for your help." A guy who looked like a lavender version of their homeroom teacher. The two classmates now watched him coyly simpering as he took a white headband off and walked off.

Ojiro spoke once more. "Him?"

She squinted her eyes at him. "What do you mean him?"

"He's the last guy I saw, he asked for my name and now I'm here." Ojiro furrowed his brows. "Do you remember anything before now?"

(L/N) batted her lashes. "I only remember him saying 'Hey' and before I could finish replying to him—that's all."

And what made it feel even more off was that this situation didn't feel new. That feeling of a fresh start. To some extent there was a resigned air of deja vu.

He's a general course student so that must mean his quirk isn't that great? But he said he aimed for the hero course so maybe it was? Her body moved without her acknowledgement.

'A sort of Manipulation quirk? That would explain it all, the only thing is that the quirk alone is suitable for a hero course. With or without any actual attacks, one could easily defeat someone.'

"It's his quirk." She concluded, later stealing a glance she asked. "A vocal quirk that works by having one answer the user. That's very very..." 'useful' "unique.."

"He could've at least asked."

'I wonder what the limitations are to it...'

"(L/N), come with me for just a moment." She heard someone ask, peering over her shoulder specifically to the left. Turquoise eye color stood out for some reason, her gaze drifted to a fluff of green hair behind him, eye's drifting back to Todoroki, she huffed.

'Why does his eye bother me so much'

"Do you think because you're the son of a top hero I'll just bid your orders." (Y/N)'s voice lowered at almost every word, to the point where it sounded like she was muttering. "Such an entitled guy."

Appalled, Todoroki blinked, a stoic expression remained on his face. Searching for the correct words as her stare pierced through him.

She sneered. "You're a joke."

At this point a few peers from around observed the two, typical nosy high school kids. Some whispered amongst themselves. Their words reached his ears.

"Huh?"

"What are they saying?"

"She's just jealous."

"What happened?"

Not knowing how to react turned his heel preparing to take his leave, but before he could someone caught his wrist. "You're lucky I'm a nice person."

Brought to a secluded hallway, specifically the Faculty Entrance. The once and the now successor of one for all stood on the opposite wall from where Todoroki stared coldly.
