CHAPTER TEN,
ANNOYING

@-maniacal-

It was time for the first match, Midoriya against Hitoshi. The teen with (H/C) colored hair sat beside the pink cheeked girl and beside her was the other four eyed guy. All while she keenly observed Midoriya from above, the supposed mad look on his face was weird.

The brunette beside her kicked her feet abruptly in a thriller manner and exclaimed. "I've only ever watched these through tv." She cocked her head towards (L/N), smiling. "Aren't you just excited to watch this in real life?"

"Me too..." Their eyes met. "Younger me loved watching videos with Mid...ah, someone." For a split second something about her softened. "Just watching people use their quirks in all sorts of ways is exciting."

"You're right." Uraraka simpered before her daze altered to the stadium once she heard Present Mic announce.

"Welcome to the first match of the finals tournament! It's Izuku Midoriya from the hero course! Versus Hitoshi Shinsou from the general studies!"

"It's starting!!"

(L/N)'s little grin didn't last long, disappearing once Uraraka shouted and cheered. "Woo! You got this Deku!" Iida on the other side of her just chuckled a breath at her enthusiasm and she noticed this.

The pink cheeked girl suddenly asked. "Who are you guys cheering for?"

The lightning user sighed. "We'll definitely not the guy from the general studies, he used his quirk on me and—suddenly the cavalry battles over."

Iida fixed his glasses as he joined in the talk. "Is that why you were unresponsive when he kept calling out your name?"

"I guess?."

"(L/N)? (L/N)? You there? (L/N)?"

"We were all worried for you, especially Deku. We thought to ask you but that guy was all like 'Guess she changed her mind.' and well, we let it go. But that didn't seem to stop Deku."

(Y/N) raised her eyebrows, pursuing her lips as she feigned a stun look. Then glanced away, back to the stadium. "Is that so?"

This didn't go unnoticed by the pink cheeked gal, who's eyes flashed once she recalled a short talk they had. It left her wondering why she held this sort of bitterness towards Midoriya.

They clearly knew about one another based on the numerous times Midoriya had involuntarily brought her up in conversation they had. Not to mention (Y/N) had asked not to bring him up for some reason. It was almost as if he'd done something to her.

But surely that was not true, Midoriya a super polite and timid guy. There was no way he could ever do anything to anyone. And (Y/N)... well

There was a sense of mystery on (Y/N) that drew her in. The rose tinted cheeked girl could read people like an open book. As far as she could tell, her detachedness was due to fear of some kind.

All those conclusions sent the brunette's head to the clouds, not paying attention to the sly grin that morphed on (Y/N)'s lips. "It's not nice to stare Uraraka."

Suddenly she was brought back down to earth.

"Huh—no, WHAT?!" A bright pink hue took over her face, hurriedly she glanced away. "I just saw a fly! That's all!"

The lightning users grin went away but her stare stayed, pretending was exhausting.

The brown eyed girl chortled timidly, not having a clue on how to respond. Those same peepers peer at the field, fixated onto the boy she looked up to.
