-you are both at dragonspine doing a task given by the... akademiya. your jobs are to observe and contrast Sumeru and Mondstadt's harshest climates, them being Sumeru's unbelievably dry desert and Mondstadt's impossibly freezing mountain

-since Tighnari is a forest watcher, he'll be the one observing the specific changes the akademiya wants to know by planting a genetically altered sumeru rose near your camp

-you, on the other hand, is the one who is writing down notes about the differences in both the weather and terrain.

-being...unwise, you forget to bring mittens and get very cold in a very short amount of time

-once he finishes planting the altered sumeru roses, he meets up with you back at the camp, and notices how cold your hands are

-he lets you tuck your hands into his tail, which is incredibly warm even in a place such as dragonspine. you both sit down talking to each other while you use his tail as mittens for insulation and warmth
