Just as promised Cherish texted Miguel that she'd gotten home safe, but that was it. Leaving Miguel confused as he was second-guessing ever hearing Cherish confessed her feeling for him while he was in a coma. Truly Miguel felt embarrassed for having shared his feelings in such a panicked way that came from getting back on his feet.

Cherish on the other hand dreaded going home because she told her parents she'd be home later which meant around three hours after leaving not an hours later. Cherish almost parked in some random street just to stare into space as she thinks back to hearing Miguel telling her he loves her – only for her to ruin the moment.

Walking into the house she'd gotten her parent's attention right away as they sat on the couch watching the Bachelorette. Genome having heard the car beep shut made his way to the front door where he sat patiently waiting for Cherish to open the door

"My love, are you alright?" Odette asks having her kids many moods engraved in her mind

"Yeah, just going to my room" Cherish replies not meeting her parents' eyes as she leaned down to greet Genome

Odette was ready to follow after her daughter, but her husband beats her to it, "I got this"

"It may be a problem about a boy," Odette warns him as he wasn't known for embracing Cherish dating

"I'm gonna be a perfect gentleman," Klaus tries to say without smirking

"Remember to be calm!" Odette shouts after him knowing he can say things he shouldn't at time even if he meant well

"You didn't have to come," Cherish says without looking back to see which parent had followed her

"I wanted to make sure you were all right," Klaus speaks up looking at his daughter who laid on her bed upside down "How are you feeling?"

"The room feels right side up"

"Hmm. Well, I think you better sit up," Klaus advises making Cherish take one last look at the ceiling before sitting up

"I'm sorry my fighting made you lose tenure," Cherish apologizes her eyes watering with guilt

Klaus knowing better than to ask how she heard about it instead he reassured her things were good, "Sweetheart you didn't make me lose anything. It just wasn't my time for the tenure spot meaning next time will be"
