They say love is a wonderful feeling.
They say love is poison.

Which is the real Love and which is not? Are there many kinds of Love?

Mama doesn't Love her son yet loves the children.

He wants to understand why. And yet he cannot ask anyone why.

Was he just Un-Loveable then?

He stood by Norman's side as he always agrees and always does what makes Emma happy. Norman would point out things that not everyone can notice about Emma. Either it be her small habits or her appearance.

It was always Emma.

So it's never about the one who loves or about himself? So is Love supposed to be all about one person only? Specifically? If that's so then he cannot Love Emma and Norman.

But in a way he wants to understand what can drive a person so much that he's willing to give his life away for someone else.

Isn't that what he's doing? Maybe he's just a hypocrite.
But he thought he Loves both of them?
Was that not the case? But if he loves both of them then what of Norman's love for Emma?
Is him loving the two would cause Norman's to be invalid?
Then is what his doing for them also Love?
Isn't it like saying Love is an obligation?
Love can only come from one person to the other?
Love is selfish?

To risk his years for Norman and Emma. For what reason though because they made him happy for a short while? They make him feel like he's Loved. He wasn't sure how Norman says it's because of Love and Emma's smile while Emma says it's because she Loves everyone.

He's so different from them. He's sure his love is different from theirs.
But how does he Love?

Clearly he could but can't tell. Clearly he's making a big deal out of this and becoming a fool. Romanticizing and taking emotions seriously under the looming threat of death was something he shouldn't do but he does.
He was a fool that was selfish.
A fool that wants to understand things he couldn't.

A fool that has too much time to think of useless things.

But he couldn't help think of it. Couldn't help his thoughts wonder of to the topic of Love be because of Emma's and Norman's influence.

If Love can only be for the other then sacrifices have to be made. So his Love is for two people then that isn't the Love he learned from Norman. Then is it like Emma's Love for her family? But he wouldn't sacrifice just this much for the other children.

Then his Love is different after all.

Isabella shows her love by taking care of them. But she also shows her love by shipping them out without them knowing of the truth that they'll die.

Is to Love means to die?
Loving means death?

He watches as Norman who Loves Emma gets shipped out.

Is Love something that's suppose to take the hit for the other?

Is Love supposed to be painful?
Lonely?

Love is Frightening.

He can feel his heart bleed through him and through his hands. He bleeds and bleeds yet he cannot Love.
He doesn't understand Love.

He cannot Love someone when he himself doesn't know how. To love someone you must love yourself Isabella lectures.

But what if he couldn't?
He can't for the life of him Love who he is. For what he is.
So he can't understand or even Love anyone even himself.
