Emma got home earlier than usual and picked up Norman on the way. They excitedly head home to find Ray. It was as if the two couldn't bear being separated from him. Little Ray also despite how he acted coldly at them every time they left him there with Gilda or Don or whoever was in the family available to take care of him.

He often forgives them easily once they snuggle together or give him— bribery— gifts.

Today Emma found a red scarf which she think looks great on Ray since the Blue one Chris made for Ray back in the bunker suited him.

Norman on the other hand just followed her with grocery bags on his hands.

" Do you think Ray would like it? "

Norman smiled at Emma's question.
" He might. "

The two recalled. Even back then, Ray's eyes lingered longer at the items whenever they pass by a shop that sells or shows that color. Like the red backpack a child wore that passed by them when the three were hanging out.

" Maybe he likes red! " Emma concluded with a cheer before tightening her hold on the scarf.

The two arrived home and saw Gilda and Alicia on the dining table with Ray sitting on top of the books on the chair. He was listening to Gilda explain some things to Alicia about the homework she has. He held a serious expression on his face that a child shouldn't.

" Was this also something being taught in that School place Alicia goes to? " Ray asked Gilda who raised her head to look at him.

" Ah? Yes they do. The difficulty usually raises every semester if I recall properly. "

Ray narrowed his eyes before licking his lips. " Are you sure there aren't demons in that school? If so we should take Alicia out of school if she fails her math exam. "

Alicia snapped her head to Ray surprised at his words. She raised her arms in the air in a pitiful attempt to grab the child's attention.
" N-no! I promise there's no demons there! I still want to go to school! I made a lot of friends Ray! I promise school is safe! "

Ray raised his hand to cover his mouth as he thinks things through.
" Can't we give the others some form of communication devices in case the school is actually littered in demons? Maybe those friends of yours are some sort of bait to lure in all of us then take us back to— "

" Ray!!! " Emma called in an attempt to divert Ray's attention.

Fortunately much to Alicia's and Gilda's relief, it did. Ray looked over to the side and saw Emma and Norman. His eyes seemed to brighten up and he hurried down, with the help of Alicia who was next to him, the chair to head over to the two. Emma stopped in front of them and raised his arms.

" Welcome back! " He greeted before Norman scooped him up to carry him on his arms.

" We're back. " Norman said before planting a kiss on Ray's forehead. Ray lowered his head and hugged Norman's neck before rubbing his cheeks on his chest embarrassed. The two couldn't help chuckle at Ray's usual behavior after being showered by affection.

" Gilda you're back early! " Emma pointed out while the two walked over to Alicia and Gilda. Ray pulled away to look over to Gilda.

" Yeah. Mama told me she has to get Carol and Phil since their classes are over. " Gilda explained. " The others are busy watching a show." She pointed at the living room and saw Lannion, Thoma, Chris and Rossi watching tv. All too focused at the show to notice them.

" I'll take a bath first then help out with cooking! " Emma announced before turning around to head over to the bathroom. Ray looked over to Emma then at Norman.
