Now
Walking down the stairs I see the crowd of people has grown from the few people to the entire living room full of people. Everyone had a drink or a blunt in their hand and were laughing and talking. Music played off the surround sound Nico had set up, I searched the room for his eyes, but came up short each time I looked. Sighing I walked through the living room into the kitchen to see Fiona sitting on the island's counter with Patrick standing next to her, his hand on her thigh as he talks to another one of the guys. She sits on her phone scrolling; she chuckles causing Patrick to look over his shoulder at her. He glares disgusted as he turns completely to face her, he rips her phone out of her hand. "The fuck is so funny Fi?"
She goes to reach for her phone, but he smacks her hand away, "Fucking answer me!" She yelps as she grips her hand he smacked with her free hand. She frowns up at him as he towers over her glaring down.
"Can I please have my phone back please?" She begs, he laughs as he grabs her chin in between his fingers and leans closer to her ear, whispering something that makes her shiver. He leans back and shoves her chin causing her to push back slightly on the island. He throws her phone in her lap and turns back to his friends, Fiona frowns as she jumps down from the counter and shoves her phone into her back pocket. She looks up spotting me and her eyes light up as she walks over to me quickly. I frown as I walk towards her and wrap my arms around her.
"You, okay?" I ask as she buries her head into my neck, she doesn't say a word causing me to sigh and look to Patrick whose watching us, "We're just going out back, okay?" I call over and he nods at me before I walk us through the kitchen and out to the deck. There're a few people sitting by the fire pit in the grass but thankfully the deck was left unoccupied.
I jump up on the railing as she leans against the house, she pulls out a lighter and a pack of cigs from the pocket of her black leather vest. "Where'd you go Becca?" She asks before placing a cig in between her lips and lights it.
"I got picked." Her eyes go wide as she looks at me and let's go of the drag, she was holding, "No shit? They question you?" Nodding she holds out her pack of cigs towards me. I reach my hand out and pull a cig from the pack and hold it to my lips as she passes me the lighter, lighting the cig I take a drag letting it hit my lungs before letting go. "My fucking ex was one of them."
She coughs as she exhales, once she catches her breath, she shakes her head as she walks over and sits on the railing with me, so we don't have to talk so loudly, "Ex as in?" I refuse to look at her, "Travis."
She gasps next to me, sighing I take another drag of my cig, "That's fucked."
"Tell me about it. Nico saw him trying to talk to me when I was standing outside the station." She puts her hand on my arm and squeezes, I look down to see the snake tattoo that wraps around her wrist, "How pissed was he?"
Sighing again I shake my head, "Pissed doesn't describe it. He thinks I talked."
"Jesus"
I hear someone clear their throat causing me to look up and see Nico standing at the doorway. "Fiona, Patrick's leaving." Nico doesn't take his eyes off of me, Fiona sighs next to me before squeezing my arm again, she jumps down and drops her cig onto the ground before putting it out with her shoe. "I'll see you guys later." Nodding I smile small as I watch her walk back into the house, Nico watches me as I turn my head and look out to the yard. I take another drag of me cig as I see him walk toward me through the corner of my eye. He sighs and puts his hand on my chin, I try my hardest not to freeze but my body goes against what I want as usual.
"Scared?" He chuckles and moves his hand making my head turn to face him, I look into his dark brown almost black eyes. "Depends."
He raises an eyebrow as he smirks, "On?"
"Are you going to put my head up against a window again?"
He frowns as he lets go of my chin and steps back, "Come on B. I said I was sorry. I lost my temper, I'm stressed enough. I don't need my girl getting questioned by the cops. If anyone else had seen, you outside the station talking to a cop do you know what that looks like?"
Shaking my head, I finish my cig before dropping it onto the ground, jumping down I stop it out with my sneakers. "It looks like nothing. Because that's what it fucking was Nico. But yet my word isn't good enough now, is it?"
He glares at me as he takes a step forward, "Keep your fucking attitude in check B." Rolling my eyes I go to step around him, but he grabs my arm in his hand holding me still, I try to yank my arm from him, but he only tightens his grip.
"I won't tell you again B. Don't fucking embarrass me in front of my crew. Or so help me fucking god." I look up at him and if looks could kill, I would be dead where I stand.
He watches me for a few more seconds before finally letting go, "Get the fuck out of my sight before I do something we'll both regret."
Without another word I walk past him back inside, walking towards the fridge I open it and grab my bottle of wine. Without grabbing a glass, I head back through the living room and up the stairs to our room. I walk into our room shutting the door behind me and over to the bed, grabbing the remote I power the firestick on and turn on my latest Netflix binge. I kick my shoes off before climbing onto the bed, I pull the cork out and press play as I take a swig of wine from the bottle. As female giggling comes from the hallway I groan as I get up from the bed and throw my bedroom door open. Stepping into the hallway I see a girl up against the wall with a guy's head in her neck, rolling my eyes I go to say something, but the guy moves his head and I see Nico grab the girls face as he kisses her harshly.
My entire body freezes as I watch them, he steps back from the girl and smirks as he turns her towards his office. He pushes her into the room before turning slightly to look at me. We lock eyes and he smirks before walking into the office and shuts the door behind him. I shake my head as I walk back into the room and slam the door closed behind me. Walking back over to the bed I grab the bottle of wine and take another drink from it just as my phone vibrates on the nightstand.
I reach over and pick it up, seeing a notification from MyPage I open it. A picture of Nico taking shots off the girl's stomach, glaring at the picture I read the caption, "Boss man knows how to throw a homecoming! Fuck the Pigs!"
Rolling my eyes, I close MyPage, I stare at my phone before taking another sip of wine. "Two can play it that way."
