A knock on my room door alerted me that someone was there, but it wasn't Rooster. I had only been in my room for fifteen minutes, which meant Roost was still going to be at least another half hour. I walked over anyways, in a black tank top and tight black shorts that I always wore under my flight suit. Opening the door, I seen Hex looking at me with a side smile.

"Hey." I greeted, opening my door wider for him to come in. Hex walked in without any prompt, sitting on a lone chair I had. He was wearing a black tee shirt, and a pair of navy combat pants. His brown hair had been styled and his grey eyes were paler then usual. "What brings you by?" I added, closing the door then walking further into my room. It wasn't much really. A small bed was in the far corner, with a bedside table and lamp beside it. A closet was along the same wall. Near the door, a single dark brown chair sat, accompanied by a blanket and pillow that I had brought from home. I also had a small bathroom, with a toilet, a sink and tiny shower.

"I came to see how your training is going." He said. "We missed you this morning." He added, leaning back. I walked over to my closet, opening it. I had everything very organized. My Navy jackets were all hung on the right side, my tanks and tees in the middle and my normal, everyday shirts and jackets were on the left. Below, on a wire shelf, my bottoms were in their respective areas, organized like the top. I started looking through my shirts.

"I was running a little behind this morning." I said. I heard him hum behind me, disbelieving.

"What time were you up this morning?" He asked. I could practically feel his stare. I sighed, bowing my head, then turning to look at him.

"5." My answer was simple, but he understood. We'd shared sleeping quarters, spent days on a large ship together. He knew how frequent my nightmares were.

"I thought the sleeping pills were helping." He said, leaning forward in his seat. I shrugged.

"They were for a while. But my doctor told me I needed to cut back. So I started taking them when we had missions instead. It's more important that I'm well rested going against the enemy, then teaching recruits." I explained.

"You're training for a mission now." He pointed out, I scoffed.

"A mission that won't happen for three weeks. I've got time." I argued. "Besides, when we get drunk, I sleep fine." I added with a shrug, turning back to my closet. It was silent for a couple minutes as I looked at my clothes.

"Who are you getting ready to see?" He asked after I picked out a shirt.

"How do you know I'm getting ready see someone and not just going out?" I asked, raising a brow at him. His eyes drifted to my shirt. I had picked a black corset top, with fine lace work. On, it would be tight and revealing. I sucked on my teeth in realization.

"Sadie I have only seen you wear that top twice and both times it was when you had decided to meet up with a man for coitus." Hex explained. "So I repeat, who are you getting ready to see?"

"Oh no." I groaned, picking the shirt up again. "It's too much for what I'm doing. I'm supposed to be going for a drive with Rooster." I explained, putting the shirt back in the closet. "I'm panicking, why am I panicking?" I added looking at Hex. He chuckled, but stood up and walked over.

"Probably because you like him." He shrugged. I scrunched my nose at the word like, it just seemed so... childish.

"No way. I just enjoy his company. Now help me decide what to wear." I added. "I normally just dress to get picked up at a bar."

"Well, what are you two doing?" Hex sighed, reaching my closet.

"Going for a drive. It's casual as far as I know." I answered, glancing at the time. It had been a little over half an hour since I seen Rooster last.
