Endless Love

You and Me

I sat on the floor in the corner by myself. I hugged my legs tightly, crying into my arms. I looked up and scream as he stood over me. He kneeled in front of me "They're coming for you." I started breathing heavily and woke up to Kristian shaking me.

Once my eyes were open, he quickly grabbed and held me in his arms "Violet. It's okay. It's just a dream." I inhaled his cologne and forced myself to shut down and hide everything. I wiped my face in his shirt and took a deep breath "I'm fine. It was a dream." I gently pulled myself away from his arms; he looked at me confused "You were screaming."

I sat up "I'm fine. I just need a little bit." I grabbed a blanket and went outside; I sat on the balcony and took in the fresh air. I haven't had these nightmares in years and I kind of wish I wouldn't have one again. I started picking my nails because of my anxiety, I was chewing on my thumb nail when Kristian quietly came out.

He kneeled in front of me and removed my finger "I know you asked to be alone but I can't do that. You aren't alone through this. Whatever you're worried about or going through, you have me." I looked up at him "Please.. don't do that..." I paused and inhaled "Don't get close to me."

I started crying horribly, he came forward and held me "You aren't alone. This isn't your life forever; this is a temporary storm and you will overcome it." I lifted my face to his, he smiled "We will overcome it." I leaned in and kissed him, he parted our lips slightly "Will be you be my girlfriend?"

I nodded and leaned in closer to his lips again, I felt a smile on my lips that belonged to him. He looked at me "I never want you to believe you are alone. I will gladly carry that weight for you if I could but you can talk to me."

I frowned "That man wanted to hurt me. He was in my dream." He grabbed my hand and pulled me to my feet after he stood "No one will hurt you as long as I'm around. It was just a dream." He studied my face and I looked away, his face fell "Did he do more?"

I shut myself down and shook my head "I don't want to.. I.. I'm going down to the water." I slipped past him and went inside to change to my swimsuit. I struggled with the neck strings so I asked him for his help. I kept my head down and avoided eye contact. He moved in front of me "When you want to tell me I'm here." I nodded "Join me?"

He went into the room and came out in shorts. We walked down toward the beach, I stopped when I noticed baby turtles crawling toward the ocean. Kristian looked at them with a grin "I would say that was meant for you." I reached my hand for his and held it as we watched the tiny babies move across the sand.

I turned to face Kristian "Race you?" I took off running before he could agree; I rushed through the water and laughed while shivering but it felt good. Kristian was right behind me, he playfully splashed water at me. I dunked my head under water and came up in front of him. I looked at the moon over the water lighting up the salt water. I looked back at Kristian and smiled "You lost."

He observed me with a grin "I let you win." I moved closer to him "Oh yeah?" I jumped onto his shoulders and attempted to dunk him down but failed. He smirked "Have to try harder then that." This time I used my leg and swept his legs out from under him and he fell down into the water. He came back up, I quickly landed a kiss on his mouth before he could speak.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me up while I kissed him. Pulling away was difficult but unfortunate I needed to breath so I let go and inhaled. He started laughing "That good?" I nodded with a smile and kissed him again.

I pulled away once my jaw grew tired, I started laughing once I saw the smirk on his face. I felt a blush grow on my cheeks, he licked his lips "You're adorable." I raised my eyebrows "Oh yeah?" I dunked his head and swam further out as fast as I could. He followed me shortly and grabbed me, he playfully squeezed me "You're going to pay for that." I shook my head "Try me!"

He smirked as he placed his thumb on my lip "Yeah?" I felt my heart in my throat, he had a look of lust in his eyes. He leaned in kissing me and his hand went to my hip, he played with my bikini strings, he pulled away placing his forehead on mine and whispered "Tell me to stop."

Before I answered he pulled his hand away "I'm sorry. I got caught up in the moment." I started shivering as it got colder "Um.. we should go inside." He nodded "Beat you to the house." Before he could finish his sentence I was already gone, he was right behind me. Once I reached where my feet touched the ocean floor; I stood and ran through the water best I could. I ran across the sand and up the stairs.

I started sweeping the sand off of my feet as he came up "I tripped on the sand." I started laughing as he sat beside me "This was very fun." I agreed, I hadn't had so much fun in a long time. It was nice to feel normal but I knew it wouldn't last forever. Eventually it would be ripped from me and I'd go back to the old Violet. The closed off and silent one.

Gosh I hope Eliza could figure this out before that happened. I couldn't imagine not seeing Kristian again. I'd already fallen head over heels and that heartbreak would be worse than losing my parents to the drug world and crime. I care about him more than myself. Probably stupid for saying that but I did.

Once we finished, we went inside and laid in one of the beds after changing our wet clothes. Laying next him was warm and peaceful; it took me no time to fall asleep in his arms. I smiled with my head against his and closed my eyes.
