Chapter 9

Persephone

Now being fully awake, ngayon ko lang napansin na mayroong ibang students na nakatangin sa aming tatlo and it is already making me uncomfortable. Nakakahiya naman 'tong dalawa na 'to >//<

I pulled both my hands away from them, fixing my hair as I looked at them with heated cheeks. "If you want to take me home so badly why don't the two of you just apply to be my bodyguards?" I grunted as I walked out of the place, making me stop in my tracks and reminding myself of the things that I had with me earlier. 

"Hala, nakalimutan ko mga gamit ko," I stomped my feet, "ayoko na bumalik sa loob, it would be awkward, so awkward— hindi, perse. Kaya mo 'to" pagtapos ko mag-sagawa ng TedTalk™ session sa sarili ko, bumalik ako sa loob ng cafe na mukhang confident and I found them having a staredown. 

I grabbed my things from Haechan and ran away once again after I felt their eyes on me. 

Jusko, nakakahiya talaga. Sana hindi na mangyari 'to.

Nang makauwi ako ng buo, hinayaan ko sarili kong humiga-higa muna sa bahay bago gumawa ng gabihan. I was supposed to clean the house in this day, but I instead got into this childish fight— though I'm glad our little presentation's already done, so wala na akong aalalahanin. 

My phone suddenly rang and I reluctantly looked at the screen, answering it after I saw that it only was my aunt. 

"Hija?"

"Yes po, tita?" 

"How are you doing?"

"I'm doing alright naman po, is there something wrong, tita?"

"Oh I was just wondering if you've received the money I transferred to your bank account? Your mom told me to do so" 

"Si mama po? What's happening po tita?" 

I can hear her grumble under her breath but I can't muster what she was telling me. "I didn't quite hear that, tita" I sat up straight, sitting with legs crossed and my feet bouncing uncontrollably.   

"Oh, nothing, nothing at all!—listen I have to get to an appointment I have today, so you get your money and  take care of yourself, bye!" 

I sometimes think if my bloodline has crazy mixed in it. 

I wonder what's happening though.
