Percy's pov: (continuation from last chapter)

We all followed Hagrid in pursuit and deadly silence. We entered an old-ish street that started out wide but narrowed at around the end.

I had the sudden urge to pull out Riptide. I forced that idea to the back of my mind and continued following Hagrid.

We stopped at a whitewashed building with a sign plastered on the front. I couldn't make out the words so I just decided to stick with my usual shopping technique.

Look through the window and don't read signs. We walked over to the door and Hagrid pulled it open for us. A tingle of a small bell alerted the bartender of the shop of our presence.

He scurried over to Hagrid. Honestly, he looked like a mouse in front of Hagrid.

Hagrid slapped his hand on the shoulder of the old man and said," Hey Tom, how ya doing'?"

"Fine, who might they be?" asked the rasping voice of Tom, the bartender.

We introduced ourselves once again. Hagrid pulled Tom into a corner and they had an intense discussion. Hagrid seemed to have won since he walked over to them with an expression of pride while Tom sulked behind him.

Hagrid took out a folder and a piece of paper with things dotted down on it and said," ya might wan' to take the list. It would be great if ya were to buy everything written on it. Oh and uh... this folder ill help ya understand everything. Well almost everything."

He handed the things to Piper and then turned and walked through the door with not as much as a good bye. He was in a hurry, I thought.

I must've said it out loud as everyone murmured their agreement. Tom the bartender, sighed at us and said," come on, lad. I'll show ya to ya room. If ya want to eat then food will be served to you in your room."

He then walked to a corridor and gave Annabeth two keys and said," two bedrooms. Use them as you wish. Tomorrow you have been requested to gather your things and the day after tomorrow, you shall be advised to leave the pub in order to get to the station in time. First room is up the stairs and to the right. The other one is up two flights of stairs and left."

Annabeth's pov:

I nodded and said," come on guys. We could use some rest and I also want to read this thing." I waved the folder in their faces and then started walking up to the designated rooms.

I gingerly took one step after another as I started climbing the ancient mahogany steps. I led Piper, Hazel and Thalia to the first room and tried to fit the first key in the lock. It didn't budge so I tried the other one.

Perfect match! I handed the key to Percy and said, while giving him a tiny peck on his lips," See you in the morning, seaweed brain."

All around me, goodbyes were being said. None of us liked to be away from Percy and the rest. Nico, Leo and Thalia were a few inches behind the rest, staring at their feet, awkwardly.

Finally, when the pecks had been exchanged, the boys disappeared into the shadows.

"Come on guys. Long day tomorrow," I said before walking through the door and into the room.

Two bunk beds were on either side of the room while a single large one sat leaning against the farthest wall. Pink and red covers were sewn on the mattresses that rested on top of the beds.
