Percy's pov:

Percy didn't remember where he was and nor did he remember how he had gotten here. His memory of the morning seemed fuzzy, as though he were looking at it through rippled water. (I know, I know. Son of Poseidon. Just go with it)

The air seemed to sting his throat, which was dried up even without that. He opened his eyes, blinking a few times in a flailing attempt to adjust his eyesight to the dim lighting.

He slowly sat up, groaning. His entire body felt as though tiny needles were pricking him over and over. He managed to get to a sitting position, his arms acting like a picture stand behind him.

He looked around and was instantly reminded of the one place he wished with all his heart he wouldn't cross paths with again. The one place that had scared him shit-less and left him with a permanent scar etched deep into his memory. It was something that he avoided thinking about and yet, right now, he thought that he had been dumped in the same place, the experiences playing through his mind like a movie.

The place glowed with a dim red light that was only just enough for him to see my surroundings. Pillars rose out of the ground and shot for the sky, vanishing behind clouds. They were pure white. He could barley make out the core but it seemed to be on fire but it all seemed oddly beautiful.

The pillars seemed to go on forever. Black, reflective tiles were carefully cemented onto the floor in such a manner that there were hardly any gaps between them. Percy looked up, craning his head. The roof was shielded by thick, grey mist that covered the roof like clouds.

Definitely NOT Tartarus.

"Percy?" a voice called out to him.

Annabeth's pov:

"We have to find him," Annabeth muttered, her hands knotted in her hair, her breath jagged, as though she had just run a marathon though she suspected that that was exactly what her heart was doing.

"Annabeth, we have a deadline. Unless you want monsters roaming around here then I suggest that..." Carter was cut off mid-sentence by Annabeth.

"Carter, I lost Percy before. I refuse to lose him again. We HAVE to go after him," Annabeth said softly, looking at Carter with blood shot eyes.

"And if you aren't willing to help, then fine but you can't stop me from going after him," Annabeth continued.

Carter looked at her for a second before saying, "I'm in."

Sadie, who stood right beside Carter looking like she wanted to slap Carter, immediately straightened up and looked at Annabeth, determined. "Me too," She said.

"I'm in too," Jason said, grabbing Piper's hand who nodded in determination in Annabeth's directions, her eyes speaking a silent message of hope.

"Aww, now i feel bad. Fine, i'm in too," Leo said, slumping into a chair, "Honestly though, can't we go for a vacation without waltzing in front of death's door? Thanatos has probably had enough of seeing our hideous faces."

"Leo?" Annabeth said, a hint of a smile on her lips.

"Yeah?" He replied, quirking his eyebrow.

"Shut up."

Leo grinned before doing a salute and disappearing into the hallway.

"Guys, i know that this is a bad time, but i can't go," Thalia stated, looking down at the ground.
