Chapter 6: The Boy Who Lived

Harry's pov:

Two months had passed since I defeated Voldemort. Ron and Hermione had gotten together after the war, even before that actually. Who knew?

I didn't have anywhere to go so Mrs. Weasley invited me to stay. I was grateful was the shelter. Ron and I could spend time together. Hermione often dropped by.

Ever since the part of Voldemort that was inside me died, I was able to rest more peacefully. I wasn't disturbed by nightmares or flashbacks. I was usually greeted by dreamless nights. Occasionally I would get dream of my parents, good things like that.

Today, I was in Ron's room sharing a bunk bed with him. I was dreaming about Hogwarts, when everything was normal.

I saw Snape teaching Potions in the dungeon. Headmaster Dumbledore was seated in his room reading a book with a twinkle in his eyes. Everyone was enjoying themselves at the great hall over amazing food.

That's when I heard a familiar voice yell my name. I jerked awake and head bumped Hermione. She pulled back, rubbing her forehead.

"Ow, what was that for?!?" she said in an exasperated tone.

"Sorry, didn't mean to. Anyways, when did you get here?" I asked.

She replied," Apology accepted. I just got here. Some owls brought in letters with our names on it. It has the Hogwarts stamp on it. Come on!"

The name of Hogwarts got me started. I jumped out of bed and raced downstairs as Hermione tried to wake Ron up.

I entered the kitchen where I found the Weasleys sitting round an oak table. A brown owl was perched on top of Mr. Weasley's finger.

"Ah Harry dear, there is a letter for you. It arrived a mere minute ago. Come on! Open it up!" Mrs. Weasley said as she waved a letter.

I practically ran over to her and took the letter out of her hand. I seated myself next to Ginny and examined the letter. The Hogwarts stamp glued the front of the envelope.

I tore it open and read the fine print. It said:

Dear Mr. Potter,

We have taken the liberty to devise another school year as to make up for the loss of education for the last. You are requested to be at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry on the 10th of June. Given below is the list of requirement. We look forward to meeting you again. - Hogwarts

I looked below and found the list which said:

Uniform:

1. A wand

2. Three pairs of black cloaks

3. A black pointed hat

4. Protective gloves

5. Winter cloak

Book:

1. Advanced potion-making by Libatius Borage

2. Confronting the Faceless

3. A guide to advanced transfiguration by Emeric Switch

4. Advanced Rune translation
