Outside King's Landing, the Crownlands

105 AC

Her mother was dead. And her baby brother, Baelon Targaryen, as well.

Jaehaera stared blankly ahead at the stone coffins of her mother and brother, perched atop funeral pyres.

"They're waiting for you." Laenyx said, taking her lightly calloused hand in his own. The eight year old princess leaned into him.

"I wonder if the rumors are true. That my father had Mellos cut my mother open." Jaehaera said bitterly in High Valyrian.

"That was Viserys choice." Laenyx replied. "Right now, he needs you more than ever."

Jaehaera nodded and let go of Laenyx's hand, walking over to the pyre. Vermithor was perched on the hill.

"Dra-" Jaehaera swallowed the urge to scream and cry. She couldn't right now. "Dracarys." she repeated more calmly.

Vermithor sent a wave of concern and comfort down their bond before he walked over to the pyres. He jaws swung open and engulfed the two stone coffins in bronze flames.

The Fire Princess took her twin's hand, and the two let silent tears roll down their faces.

It was just them and their father now.

That is today's chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
