WHEN THEY got to the Mayfield home, Chris offered Icarus some clothes who asked if he could shower. The Mayfield boy said of course he could and while he showered, Chris found his little container pretty quickly, rushing to hide it in the shoebox under his bed, stuffing it along with the baggies and other stuff in it. He sighed, hiding it behind a small pile of clothes then the door opened, Icarus walking in fully dressed and with damp hair. "Rus," Chris rises to stand. "You can't sleep with wet hair."

Icarus shrugs. "I always do." He says but Chris doesn't take no for an answer, blow drying Icarus' hair as the Blood now watched him through the mirror. His touch is so gentle, combing through Icarus' hair and blow drying the strands he holds up, before letting go and doing it more to other sections of his hair until he's all done, turning off the hair dryer. Icarus watched as Chris' eyes trail over his body. "I like you in my clothes." He glanced up, meeting the other's eyes and Icarus turns around.

"Yeah? I like your clothes..." He says, playing with the hem of the jacket and Chris smiled faintly. "Let's head to bed," he suggested but Icarus stops him, grabbing his hand so Chris turns to look at him. "What?" He chuckled and Icarus just stared into his eyes. "Nothing." He smiled softly and Chris chuckles again. "Okay, weirdo. Let's head to bed."

In bed, Icarus was the one to take the wall side and Chris reluctantly gave in, not minding the other side. He was laying onto his stomach, facing Icarus who's staring up at the ceiling, not really being able to sleep. Then he looked at Chris, just gazing at him for a moment. There was no mistaking it. Chris was doing drugs, Icarus isn't so sure which ones, but his pupils were dilated. Wasn't hard to mistake that either, Chris' eyes were brightly coloured, maybe hazel or a blue-ish colour.

He laid onto his side, staring at him with furrowed brows and a frown. Why couldn't the Mayfield just talk to him? He was right here, and even when he wasn't, they had their weekly phone calls and letters. He didn't need the drugs to cope after Billy's death. Icarus sighed and flipped over to face the wall, closing his eyes as he started to relax.

In the morning, Chris had his arms around Icarus' waist and was grimacing at the sound of his alarm clock going off. "Chris... Chris... Chris!" Icarus smacked his arm and the taller flinched. "Oh, my God, Rus, chill." Chris grumbled, smacking his hand over the clock that said it was 7:30 a.m. "I don't really go in the mornings." He murmured, squeezing Icarus closer to him who hummed, moving to lay onto his side. "Don't you have to drive Max?" He whispers and Chris hummed quietly.

"She takes the bus." His face buried into Icarus' neck as the two relaxed but then Chris' hand was trailing down to his hip, resting there for a moment. "Chris." Icarus whispered and the other hums in response. "Nevermind." He murmured and turned away from him. Chris just cuddled closer, his chest completely against Icarus' back as he hums.

"I really missed you a lot." He mumbled against Icarus' shoulder where he begun leaving small kisses. "I really missed you too, Chris." Icarus hums softly, before flipping over to lay onto his side. Chris smiles, leaning closer and Icarus just smiles wider. "How do you wanna spend the day?" The Mayfield boy asked as he raised his hand to run his fingers through Icarus' hair. The Blood thinks for a moment.

"I'm not sure." Icarus moves to lay onto his side and Chris puts both hands over his face now, smiling faintly. "Can I decide then?" He asked and the other just scrunched up his face. "I don't know if I trust you enough to decide what we do today?" The older asked with a wide grin and the younger just sheepishly grins back. "Come on, you really think I'd ruin our whole day together?" He asked and Icarus merely rolled his eyes at that statement.

"I don't know, Chris... you do some weird shit like all the time. I mean, you practically jumped me the moment I got here." He says and Chris chuckled, leaning closer. "And with good reason. I could've had you first, right?" He leaned closer and Icarus' brows furrow slightly. "Could've had me first?" He questioned.

"Before Steve, I mean..." The Mayfield boy is so softly touching his face it nearly makes the Blood boy melt into mush in his hold. "Oh..." He said quietly, blushing. "I mean, I wouldn't necessarily say that, but... yeah, I mean, I did like you when I was repressing my relationship with Steve." He tells him and Chris smirked before leaning over, kissing him passionately on the lips. He feels likes he doesn't even need drugs anymore. As long as he had Icarus.

And so he indulged. Basked in the feeling he'd get with Icarus and whatever they did, wherever they went. At the new diner that opened up. Melvald's in Hawkins Square to shop for groceries. Walking together down the streets. Laughing. Catching up. Sure in the public's eye, everyone just saw two old friends finally seeing each other again after six months. But for Chris Mayfield, it was everything. Icarus was everything to him.

"Chris? What are our plans now?" Icarus asked as they finally got to the Thunderbird, Betty and tossed the keys over to Chris who quickly caught them. "Uh, it's a surprise." He said with a wide grin on his face. It's late, the sun had set and now they were in the school parking lot, making out. "As fun as this is, this is not really the most ideal spot." The Blood had pushed him back a bit gently.

"Yeah, I know... but it's starting soon."

"What is? Please don't say you're in some cult or something." Icarus frowns, setting his chin onto the palm of his hand and Chris couldn't resist, chuckling as he pecks the pout on his best friend's pout. (If you could even call them that anymore.) "Hold on." Chris goes digging into his pocket then found the tickets, holding them up with a small grin at Icarus. "What's that for?" Icarus asked with a slightly confused stare at the other teenage boy.

"Well... for the championship game tonight. I scored some yesterday for Max and I, was thinking of asking her but she and Lucas sort of broke up." He shrugs and Icarus frowns. "Oh... that sucks. I hope they work it out." He said and Chris just nods, holding up the tickets directly in between their faces.

"What do you say? Be my date?"

"I'd love that, Christopher."
